On last Sunday’s Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailey wanted both Kenya Moore and Kim Fields to work in peace and harmony on her eyewear commercial. In an attempt to talk strategy, she brought the two ladies together. But things were off from the start.

“At the beginning of the meeting I was hopeful that the three of us could figure out a way to work together on “THE ‘MERCIAL.” I didn’t realize how bad the tension had gotten between Kenya and Kim until I sat down with them one-on-one… We all watched Kim grow up in the industry, and I love Kenya‘s creativity, which would make them (in my mind) a dynamic duo.”

Kenya and Kim haven’t gotten along all season. All that tension finally exploded and Cynthia just sat there, shoveling sushi in her face.

“I felt like Kenya brought personal issues she was having with Kim to the meeting and was feeling “some type of way” about me not giving her another opportunity to pitch her concept. I assume this is why the conversation took a quick left.”

Cynthia was irritated Kenya went off on Kim during a business meeting. Not irritated enough to put a stop to the bickering, though.

“When I worked on “Life Twirls On,” it was business and I was professional. I was surprised that she did not show me the same professionalism for my project. At the end of the day, whether she decided to be involved or not, I would have welcomed her support.”

Cynthia’s relationship with NeNe Leakes is back on track, leaving Kenya out in the cold. Cynthia denied her BFF status with Kenya in order to placate NeNe.

“I think the BFF drama was blown way out of proportion. There are other friendships in the group besides me and Kenya or me and NeNe… I love Kenya and my relationship with her, but to my knowledge I have never referred to her as my best friend. We have become very close friends over the past couple of years, and I look forward to many more.”

Though she claims she’s still friends with Kenya, Cynthia’s feelings for NeNe are clear.

NeNe and I recently rekindled our friendship. This meant a lot to me, because when I joined the group almost six years ago, she was the first one I connected with. There was no denying our connection. Jokingly, a Friend Contract was issued and signed shortly after. The rest is history.”

It’s obvious she holds NeNe in higher regard. Cynthia can try and spin it all she wants, but we saw what we saw. Kenya has been a place holder for NeNe.

“I am grateful for the friendship I have developed with Kenya, and I am also very excited to have my good ol’ girlfriend NeNe back in my life. Besties, BFFs, or however you choose to label us, I feel blessed to call both of these women my friends.”

I think Cynthia is a fair weathered friend. What do you think?
