Erika Girardi Applauds Eileen Davidson’s Bravery Dealing With “Domestic Violence” #RHOBH
Erika Girardi aka Erika Jayne is new to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this season, and I’m still trying to wrap my head around her. I like that she’s unapologetic for her life—dance club vixen by night and wife to a much older husband by day. She owns who she is, and I respect that. What I don’t like is the fact that when Bethenny Frankel went after her like a rabid Rottweiler, as is Bethenny’s way, Erika smiled to her face and then got all catty in her interviews. So while I’m still on the fence about this Housewife, Erika is glad she’s joined the cast.
“In this episode there are more important topics discussed than my music video. Bethenny apologized, and we’ve moved on.”
If you say so, Erika. She’s also understanding of Kyle Richards’ reluctance to talk about sister, Kim’s, continued struggle with sobriety.
“I do understand Kyle‘s worry over her sister Kim. I have experienced people close to me in similar circumstances, and my heart goes out to anyone dealing with addiction.”
But on the other hand, she’s impressed that Eileen can bring up her painful past.
“I applaud Eileen‘s bravery for sharing her past experiences dealing with domestic violence. It takes a lot of courage to share such a personal story, and it’s clear that even though this happened years ago, she’s still healing.”
Erika flew from the Hamptons to Ohio in her private plane to bring Yolanda home, like a good girlfriend should. She briefly touches on Yolanda’s ongoing battle with illness.
“Yolanda‘s surgery was a success, and I’m happy to see she’s feeling better. I know she was so nervous about this procedure, and she’s happy to have it behind her. She’s been through a lot, so every improvement is important. I’m really hoping that removing these ruptured implants is a key to her recovery.”
Most of the Twitterverse seems to be pulling out their pom-poms for this new Housewife. How about you? Am I wrong to straddle the fence on this one?
