Kim Richards’ Ex-Husband Monty Brinson Dies After Cancer Battle
Sad news. Reportedly, Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, has loss his long battle with cancer and passed away.
Kim and Monty were married in 1985 and divorced in 1988. A year after they wed, the two welcomed their daughter, Brooke, who is now 29.
In recent years, Monty was suffering with cancer and was seen living with Kim Richards during the season 5 airing of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Brinson, for his part, supported Richards throughout her struggle with addiction and brushes with the law.
Brinson had lung cancer, and later developed a tumor in his brain.
The former RHOBH star adored her ex-husband and quite often stated Monty was the love of her life. She routinely flooded her Instagram account with happy photos of the couple.

In December, Brinson took to Instagrammed to share he would be spending Christmas in the hospital, he didn’t plan on letting that get in the way of a celebration. “I’m fighting I’m not a quitter and no matter what you go through don’t be a quitter,” he wrote. “So I will be celebrating Christmas in the hospital this year. Tomorrow I’m going to get Christmas Tree sent to my room and celebrate life. Then I’m going to decorate my room like a fine resort. I’m going to make the best of it.”

He continued, “I’ll try to get back to phone calls and messages when able. I’ll be fine and o (sic) would like to thank everyone from all around the world for the prayers and emails I received,, it made my heart stronger and I’ve felt that much love in my heart. And My friends family I thankful for everything , love to each and everyone of you i don’t know how my story will end but I know I’ve been loved all my life and I’ve loved back just as hard to make others happy In my life. Sweet dreams to all. Enjoy every day life is life is beautiful.”
