Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Apollo Nida did not receive any daddy hugs for Christmas. In fact, according to the incarcerated father and husband of Bravo star, Phaedra Parks, there have been NO video chats with his children, and despite Phaedra’s claims, NO holiday care packages. Phaedra is BUSTED, exposed again, as a lying fake.
In an interview with TMZ Live, Apollo denies the reports that claim he doesn’t want to see his 3 and 5-year old sons, while he is in prison.
“For my own mental sanity, I try to recognize where [Phaedra] is coming from but I never agreed to the fact that I didn’t want to see my children,” said Apollo. “I never agreed to that. I still want to see them and regardless of where I’m at, I’m still trying to find a common ground to parent them. But the fact that I am in a different facility, I am at a camp now, there have been discussions about her allowing me to see the children and her bringing them to see me. Hopefully that happens in the near future.”
Apollo describes his new prison facility as more conducive to family visits and more lenient. He explains that the inmates are not exactly behind a fence, and that the atmosphere is less prison-like. He notes “discussions” about allowing him time with his kids, and holds out hope that Phaedra will agree to the visits. In the meantime, Apollo denies previous reports, claiming that he’s been able to maintain visual daddy contact, via video chats.
“To squash some of the allegations we don’t FaceTime and I do not receive care packages from them. I will say, for the most part, I do call like once a month, maybe twice, depending on my schedule.”
When asked about the status of his marriage, Apollo comments,
“I really don’t know. We’re still married on paper. We haven’t had an opportunity to sit down and talk. I don’t really know what’s going on. There’s been a lot of speculation.”
He goes on to say that the divorce is still up in the air, and that Phaedra continues to meet with his legal team.
“I need closure right now,” says Apollo. “I have a bunch of ill feelings. I’m very frustrated and angry. I don’t want to say the wrong thing prematurely but at the end of the day I think it’s time for her and I to sit down and figure out if we’re going to move forward or move on with different relationships. It needs to be done in a manner where the children understand that we can come together on a mature level.”
In spite of Phaedra Parks’ best efforts, an incarcerated criminal with nothing to lose, is coming across as the honest half of this shady duo. Let’s hope that Apollo keeps singing like a caged canary, and continues to expose shady Phae, for who she really is.
