#RHOBH Lisa Rinna Shares Why She Brought up Munchausen Syndrome to Kyle and Lisa
As we all know, Lisa Rinna, star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is a self-proclaimed hustler, always eager to make a buck. She also calls her husband, Harry Hamlin, by his full name—when she isn’t referring to him as “God” that is.
“…in our house we just let Harry Hamlin be God and it seems to do the trick. I leave him alone, Lorena and I handle almost everything, and if we really need him, we ask, but other than that, I am fortunate enough to have Lorena helping me, so I don’t have to ask God for much.”
Okay, that’s just weird, right? It’s not just me? Anyhoodle, God and the kids traipsed off to Canada while Lisa R. stayed at home to work.
“I’m so glad we figured out FaceTime because I really missed my family while they were up in Canada at the lake. I couldn’t be there because I had work commitments for my QVC line, The Lisa Rinna Collection.”
Apparently Harry Hamlin can’t help with the dishes or homework, but he’s fully capable of hying off to another country for a little R&R. Got it.
The newest Housewife, Erika Girardi aka Erika Jane is slowly dipping her toes into the RHOBH waters, bit by bit. This week, she had drinks with soon to be exes, Yolanda and David Foster. And Lisa R. just loves Erika’s realness. And by that, I don’t mean her fake hair, face, or spray tan. I mean her attitude.
“She’s so confident and passionate about being and performing as Erika Jayne. …she just owns it while speaking about her own music. It’s also a lot of fun watching her and her costume designer together. Those costumes are so Bob Mackie on steroids!!”
Now we come to the best part of the night, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the moment where Lisa R. accused Yolanda of faking her illness. First, Lisa hauled herself over to Lisa Vanderpump’s house/mall, Villa Rosa, to see Ken’s cute, cuddly birthday gift.
“It’s nice to see Lisa’s friends, Tina and Houston, bring the two mini-horses to her after the journey we had been through the first time. They thought they were getting one miniature horse but ended up with two perfect mini horses. This really was the perfect ending for Ken’s birthday…”
Eileen Davidson and Kyle Richards also dropped by, and as the ladies sat sipping wine, Lisa R. decided to spill some tea of her own. Malibu is such a small town, y’all, and people have been knocking down Miss Hustler’s door to talk about Yolanda and her mystery illness. Word on the street—those mean streets of Malibu—is that Yolanda is a big old faker, so of course Lisa had to share that info with the other ladies.
“The conversation of Yolanda and her health challenges came up… I felt safe among this group of friends to confide about how these same conversations were not only happening among our inner circle but in my outer circle of friends as well as with strangers. …The word Munchausen was brought to me by my friend that these girls do not personally know…”
Kyle sat there, blinking, unwilling to commit. (She only talks smack when she knows she has a receptive audience.) LVP stared her down, in that cool, detached British way. And Eileen was all, “Say what now?”
Was Lisa looking for absolution? If so, she didn’t get it from this group.
“I own it. I don’t feel good about it and I was very upset that I engaged in these conversations with others that are as naive as I am about Lyme Disease, but I did and I shared it with these women.”
Eileen insisted Lisa fess up to Yolanda.
“…as Eileen said, you need to talk to Yolanda about it, and I believe that to be true. So there you have it!”
So, do you think Lisa R. truly felt guilty about gossiping or was she looking for another Housewife to share her doubts about Yolanda’s illness?
