Erika Girardi, 46, made her debut on this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. We met her husband, Tom, as well as her alter ego, Erika Jayne, an after dark, dance club music diva. We also learned of Erika’s jump from broke cocktail waitress to wife of a wealthy lawyer. Erika explained how if felt to go from “nothing to everything.”

“Being broke sucks, and being rich is a lot better….I’ve been called a gold digger, but I knew that was coming.  It wasn’t like I was so shocked.”

Bravo viewers sat in on one of Erika’s rehearsals, and watched the rookie in action. What does a typical Erika Jayne product look like? We found a particularly interesting video, called Crazy, and the vague title veers in all directions. The video contains the expected sexual content, but when “crazy” flashes to drug use, a blurred line is crossed. Viewers will see a cloudy shot of a partier snorting cocaine off a bar, and in another questionable twist, Erika is featured, waving a gun around.

Erika Jayne’s video melds sex, drugs and guns, and wraps the risky mix in a catchy beat. Is this wife of a prominent legal eagle glorifying drug use, and striving to appeal to an audience of street gangster wannabes? The answer is in the video, and it reveals Erika as the latest in a long line of cryptic casting decisions. Was Bravo counting on a low-rent sex kitten gyrating with a gun, or a distinguished lawyer’s wife? The shuffle from Brandi Glanville to Erika Girardi appears to be a lateral one, and Beverly Hills has never looked cheaper.
