‘RHOBH’ Kyle Richards Husband Mauricio Umansky Banned from Hilton Events
Have you heard of the saying, “Mo money, mo problems?” Turns out Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are learning this first hand. On Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, viewers learned that Kyle had been disinvited to niece Nicky Hilton’s London wedding. Then we learned Kyle had been re-invited, but not her husband Mauricio. Then we learned that only two of Kyle’s kids were attending and two were not. What a family mess.
Sources are saying the issues are between Rick Hilton and Mauricio Umansky over business dealings. For some time now, Mauricio has not been welcome to any Hilton events.
“Rick and his team wouldn’t make Mauricio a partner, even after years of working there and a lot of success. So he left,” a source told E! News. “Now, Mauricio is not welcome at any Hilton events. It puts Kyle in a terrible position because she always has to choose between her husband and her older sister.”
It’s unfortunate Rick Hilton decided against making Mauricio a partner? Obviously Mauricio’s decision to go out on his own has gone well based on the Italian Riviera luxury vacation the family took over the summer, yacht and Ferrari rentals included. Sources said that Rick Hilton “did everything for Mauricio” and felt “Mauricio went behind Rick’s back when he started his business.”
“Rick did everything for Mauricio to get him started, he gave him clients, he introduced him to people. And then when Mauricio set up his own company, he did it covertly and informed Rick via email. Mauricio was not made a partner as he was not being 100 percent above board and so there were trust issues.” The source continued, “Finally, once Mauricio’s new company was set up, Rick and Mauricio came to a gentleman’s agreement that they would not go after each others’ agents, but then Mauricio went back on that promise and tried to poach staff. It’s a huge mess.”
But more trouble is brewing between Kyle and sister Kathy concerning the new TV pilot about Kyle growing up with her sisters. As we’ve learned after many seasons watching Kim and Kyle on RHOBH, the Richards’ do not like talking about difficult subjects and prefer to sweep their issues under the rug.
“Kyle was initially uninvited to Nicky’s wedding because of Kathy. There was a lot of tension over the TV pilot Kyle has in development that’s based on her life growing up with her sisters,” the insider explained. “Kathy even sent her a legal notice about it without any warning. Kathy did not want to come off negatively. So that’s why, for a period of time, Kyle was not going to Nicky’s wedding. She was disinvited at the end of June, just weeks before the wedding. Nicky and Kyle are close, but Nicky deferred to her mom.”
And we thought Kim was the one with all the problems.
