‘RHOBH’ Kyle Richards Sells Her Husband & Daughters Out In Desperate Bid to Attend Niece, Nicky Hilton’s Wedding
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has kicked off with a bang, with two of the messy Richards sisters standing invisibly in the spotlight, with their mouthy baby sister, Kyle. Most “Housewives” start a new season hawking a product. Skin care, bar swill, books, jewelry, boutiques…the list goes on and on and on. Kyle is making it very clear what her product is this season…her dysfunctional, hot mess of a family.
We were informed during the first episode that Kyle had accepted a deal to have her childhood portrayed in a scripted series. In last night’s episode, Kyle didn’t allow a scene to pass without reminiscing about her childhood. Kyle is obviously trying to hijack Bravo viewers to build interest for this television project, and her contrived dialogue is bordering on obnoxious. A few of the sentimentally veiled commercials included these heartfelt nods.
“I love seeing my children have the kind of vacations I used to fantasize about when I was a little girl. I don’t think I ever went on one vacation when I was a child. Any time I ever traveled, was only for working.”
“My mom was a rule-breaker. She did not give a sh*t about any rules. If she wanted to let me drive to work at 13, she was gonna do it, and she trusted me.”
“When my mom passed away, for two years I didn’t feel well. They told me I had arthritis, allergies, Epstein Barr…I felt like dying for two years. I was physically in pain….I remember seeing a commercial saying “depression hurts….”
Ironically, last night we watched Kyle sell her husband and daughters out, in a desperate bid to attend her niece, Nicky Hilton’s wedding. There is no doubt that some complicated family dynamics are in the mix, and a high profile wedding could indeed be public humiliation time bomb. Kim Richards, the resident junkie, is always a wildcard, and the Hilton vault holds so many dirty secrets, that it is no surprise that any traitor is banished from such a high-profile event.
In the end, a fancy Rothschild wedding trumped hubby loyalty, and Kyle fell in lock-step with her attention obsessed, twisted birth family. Kyle should feel free to can the verbal preview trailers, and just be herself. Her character is coming through loud and clear, as a lingering product of a toxic and warped upbringing…no promotion necessary.
