Khloe Kardashian should be out signing copies of her new book, “Stronger Looks Better Naked,” but instead the star of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” had to cancel upcoming engagements to treat a staph infection she contracted while visiting Lamar Odom in the hospital.

As you know, Odom was found unconscious last month after a booze and drug binge in a brothel north of Las Vegas. Khloe was by side from the beginning, flying her estranged husband to a Los Angeles hospital where it is thought she may have contracted the staph infection. And because of this, Khloe has been advised she cannot visit Odom.

A source told People magazine, “She is so frustrated by the fact that she was doing something good and then THIS happens,” adding that Khloe is “home on antibiotics and being closely monitored (by) a doctor” after discovering lumps on her lower body.

Khloe tweeted her fans, “I’m sick & dr’s orders are that I need to lay low until we narrow down what’s wrong.”

Another source said the reality star is “recovering well” and that “she just needs some medication and some rest and she will be fine. She’s under a doctor’s care and they are happy with how she is progressing.”

Although Khloe has dismissed her divorce from Odom, the two are not getting back together. They are still considered “separated” but this way it’s easier for Khloe to serve as his “medical advisor.” Currently, Khloe is dating Houston Rockets player, James Harden. On Wednesday night, Khloe had some harsh words for critics who suggest she choose one man to be with.

“You should have said those to the man who went against all our vows. Judge yourself. F— off,” she replied. “Divorce is still going forward. Doesn’t mean I won’t be there through sickness and health. I’ve proven that.”

Sister Kim Kardashian West was quick to defend Khloe’s decision to be there for Odom by saying the family will “always be there to support Lamar.”
