‘The Walking Dead’ Renewed For Seventh Season on AMC
AMC announced it has given a seventh season to its hit zombie apocalypse series “The Walking Dead” and a sixth season to tangent postmortem chat series “Talking Dead.” YAY!
Sixteen episodes have been ordered for season seven, which is set to premiere next fall.
Today’s renewal had long been expected, even despite the slight drop in ratings that The Walking Dead has suffered this season, especially as the franchise, including prequel Fear, is still a huge commodity for AMC. Alongside renewing TWD, the network has also picked up companion series The Talking Dead, hosted by Chris Hardwick, for another season.
