Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has lost primary custody of her twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, InTouch is reporting. A source reveals that their father, Corey Simms “was awarded primary custody, effective immediately,”  on October 13th.

“Leah only gets the girls on the weekends now,” a family insider adds.

Teen Mom 2 viewers got a peek into Simms first shot at gaining custody in 2014, when rumors were swirling that Leah was abusing prescription drugs, raising red flags with the young father.  The judge ruled in Leah’s favor, after she passed a drug test. The insider explains,

“Leah’s really been screwing up since then, so Corey took her back to court. The judge looked at the girls’ school records, which show that they’ve been late for school, and made the change in custody.”

Simms’ victory turns a spotlight on Leah’s third daughter, Addie, and rumors are surfacing that her Leah’s ex, Jeremy Calvert, may follow Corey’s example, and seek primary custody of their daughter.

“Everyone is very worried about Addie. She recently wandered out of the house while Leah was distracted,” claims the family insider. “Thankfully, a police officer found Addie and brought her back home.”

“If [Jeremy] can find [a job] nearby, he’ll go for the same custody arrangement that Corey did,” the insider explains.

Calvert’s current job takes him away from home for weeks at a time. The reported custody shift should change the landscape of the MTV reality show, with Corey and his wife Miranda, possibly playing larger roles.  Best of all, those twin cuties came out on top.
