Former NBA player and reality star, Lamar Odom, 35, was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, after a “three-day booze and pill bender” when workers at the “Love Ranch” brothel found him unconscious.
Odom, who is still legally married to Khloe Kardashian, reportedly arrived at the brothel, located 70 miles northwest of Las Vegas on Saturday alone. Odom was placed in a VIP suite where he partied, enjoying the company of women.
According to news reports, after not hearing from Odom since early in the morning, two women went to check on him and “found him passed out.” The source added, “Who knows how long he’s been like that!”
The owner of the “Love Ranch” Dennis Hof, who once had a reality TV show called “Cathouse” reported to the AP that his staff picked up Odom at his Las Vegas home on Saturday. Hof said, “He just wanted to get away, have a good time and relax.”
Following the 911 instructions to turn Odom from his face down position to his side, he reportedly began “throwing up all kinds of stuff.”
After first responders stabilized Odom, he was taken to Desert View Hospital. Officials reportedly tried to have him taken to Las Vegas via helicopter, but the 6-foot-10-inch Odom was too tall and instead was driven by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
Odom’s drug use was one of the mentioned reasons for the split between he and Khloe, who filed for divorce in 2013, although the official reason cited was irreconcilable differences. At this time there hasn’t been any official statement on his condition, but the Kardashian’s “were in route” to Las Vegas on Tuesday evening to be by Odom’s side.
UPDATE: Per TMZ Live, Odom’s kidneys are failing and his lungs have collapsed. He’s under continuous dialysis treatment. His organs are failing — f our of his organs are failing. Additionally, he had cocaine in his system and track marks on one of his arms while he remains unconscious. His condition is a 50/50, it’s touch and go at this point.
