After seasons of a bitter family feud filled with jealously and animosity, Melissa Gorga and her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice, have finally put their differences aside for the sake of family.

It’s been nearly ten months since Teresa Giudice, imprisoned Real Housewife of New Jersey star, began serving a 15-month prison sentence for fraud. During this time, Melissa Gorga has not been permitted to visit or spoken to her jailed sister-in-law. However, despite being denied contact and visitation with Teresa, Melissa continues to put up a warm and fuzzy family front.

Gorga revealed to OK Magazine that the family is sticking together during Teresa’s time in the clink,

“When there is a time of crisis that’s when you really need family. That’s when you really come together and that’s what we’re doing.”

Family unity and solidarity will be the main storyline on the three-part, “Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In,” special kicking off tonight.

“It’s an emotional special. You might shed a tear or two. It’s heartwarming to see how families come together in a time of crisis.”

Teresa Giudice is currently serving a 15-month prison sentence at Danbury Federal Correctional Institution for multiple fraud charges, while her husband, Joe Giudice cares for the couples four daughters. Upon Teresa’s release, Joe will begin serving his 3.5 year prison sentence.

During this emotional time, Melissa has really stepped up and supported Teresa’s daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana,

“Everyone is doing really well,” Melissa said. “I love the girls. Joe [Gorga] and I are there for them. They are handling it so well it’s unbelievable.”

Regardless of their lack of communication, Gorga insisted that the first thing they are going to do together is “celebrate Christmas” as a family.

In addition to Melissa, the extended family, Joe Gorga, and cousin Rosie Pierri, rally to support Joe Giudice and the girls as Teresa’s daily emails and calls prove that even though she may be absent, she still runs the house from the inside.
