Kim Zolciak Reveals She Has a Heart Condition: My Stroke Was a ‘Blessing in Disguise’

Because she’ll do or say anything to be in front of the cameras, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, embattled ex-dancer from Dancing With the Stars, appeared on “Good Morning America” with Michael Strahan, to complain about explain why she was booted from the show.

The Don’t Be Tardy wife and mom calls the “mini-stroke” a “blessing in disguise.”

Kim said, “The minor TIA revealed that I have a PFO, which is like a whole in your heart. I was born with it and it never closed,” she explained. “That’s what caused it basically because the blood clot was able to cross over through the hole whereas most people don’t have that and it’s not able to do that.”

Since the drama began, there have been naysayers and critics of her “blessing in disguise” most notably, Wendy Williams.

“I think it’s sick that somebody would ever think that and some of the people that have said that, it just shows me their mentality.” Kim added, “I don’t think that many people would really fake a stroke. Especially since I love Dancing with the Stars. It’s been one of the best experiences of my life. It’s been very difficult for me to not be on the show dancing.”

Since being forced to exit the competition, Kim’s fans signed a petition to get her back on the dance floor. Unfortunately for Kim, the petition was denied due to the clear rules about health related matters. Whether your #TeamKim or #TeamWendy, there are some undeniable facts—like the fact that Kim can’t dance.

But Kim offered the producers a different solution. “I was able to dance, I just couldn’t fly.” She added, “I feel like they could’ve done something via satellite. They’ve made exceptions in the past for people who couldn’t dance in the actual show who got injured in a rehearsal. Or they could have used the tape that I did on Saturday of me dancing.”

Honestly, why doesn’t Kim understand her health is way more important than a reality show. A hole in one’s heart is kind of a big deal…unless…Wendy was right. In the end, Kim said the lawyers made the decision for her to withdraw from the competition.

Fear not, fans of Kim. She’ll be back to DWTS for next month’s finale. “I’m not sure what they’re going to have me doing,” Kim said. “I don’t care. I’m just so excited to be there.”
