Jill Zarin Talks Brooks Ayers’ Cancer, Mario Singer’s Affair and Bethenny Frankel on #WWHL
Hear that whine in the distance? Bawby! That’s right, Jill Zarin, one of the original Real Housewives of New York was in the Watch What Happens Live clubhouse with Andy Cohen and Rebecca Romijn. So much juicy goodness, I don’t even know where to start.
For you non-Jill fans out there, I feel you, but girl was looking on point tonight. Her hair was sleek and chic, her makeup flawless, and her black dress fit her perfectly. I can’t hate on how amazing she looked.
Of course Andy immediately jumped into the 100th episode (the one Jill didn’t attend) and played the clip of Bethenny calling her out as a “cunning bitch.” But Jill took the high road: “I miss Bethenny…I want to make up with her.”
So why didn’t Jill return for the 100th episode? Andy reads a quote Jill made to the Huffington Post:
“I feel like they didn’t want me to come on.”
Andy asked why she felt that way, and Jill replied it was “all in her head.” Well, that cleared it up.
Jill may have given RHONY a miss, but she was busy plugging her Syfy movie, Night of the Wild. Oh yes, it looks every bit as cheesy as it sounds. Jill plays a woman who gets her nose bitten off by a crazed poodle. So there’s that.
Now comes the good part. Andy played Sharin’ with Zarin, wherein Jill had to comment on scenes that took place after she left the show.
About Ramona’s reaction to Mario’s affair: “…very authentic…I feel terrible.”
Aviva tossing her leg on the table:
“I thought that was going to keep her on the show.”
Heather’s reaction to a strange man in the house on vacay:
“Uncool… That was so wrong of Heather.”
Aviva’s accusations about Carole’s ghostwriter:
“Can I tell the truth? I heard at the reunion that came up. It might be true.”
And Sonja’s drunken antics in Atlantic City this season:
“I want to know what she said when she watched it back. Blackout is the word I would use.”
When the subject of Brooks Ayers #Cancergate storyline came up, Jill revealed that Bobby is battling cancer, but is doing well. By the way, she doesn’t believe Brooks any more than we do.
Jill’s appearance lit up the callers, too. When one asked about her reaction to Bethenny’s return to RHONY:
“I’m happy for her. I feel bad her show got canceled. So, I mean, she loves television. She wanted back on TV.”
That was just a tad shady. And another caller asked about the demise of Ramona and Mario’s marriage. Jill wasn’t surprised, but she was sad.
Andy couldn’t let that slide. He pointed out that Jill had talked to the press about Mario’s cheating long before he and Ramona called it quits.
“We were on a reality show together. If not, I’d have been girl coding all the way. But because she was outing Luann every minute…her own husband was doing it to her…everyone knew it. I outed him and I was right.”
She can break the girl code, but with Heather it’s “uncool?” And can we just stop with the girl code? I’m begging here.
First of all, we wish Bobby well. I miss him. He seemed like a very sweet, supportive husband. But as for Jill—have you missed her? And more importantly, will you be watching her acting debut in Night of the Wild?
