Sister Wives star, Meri Brown, is finally breaking her silence, and weakly admitting to an online relationship with a catfish, posing as another identity.

All About the Tea EXCLUSIVELY broke the story on September 13th, and is responsible for cranking up the heat, and forcing Meri to face the scandal that has had social media in a firestorm.  Brown broke her silence, speaking to People commenting,

“During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not who they said they were. I never met this person and I regret being drawn into this situation, but I hope because of it I can help others who find themselves in similar circumstances. Throughout this ordeal, my family has supported and stood by me.  I am grateful to them for their love and strength through this difficult time.”

TLC issued the identical statement on their website.

Meri’s comments reek of damage control, and the omission of the mystery lover’s identity cannot be overestimated. All About the Tea has exclusively reported scathing detailed evidence, including love letters, photos, clear voice mails revealing Meri’s messages to “Sam Cooper,” as well as a detailed back story of how the romance evolved.

“Sam Cooper” is actually an Oklahoma woman named Jackie Overton, who is considered a skilled scammer, and has allegedly racked up a list of victims.  Meri fell into the romance after legally divorcing Kody Brown, with a questionable motive of a voluntary effort to assist in an adoption effort of 4th wife, Robyn Brown’s, three children. TLC and the Browns have maintained silence for weeks, raising public criticism for squelching an effort to shut down Overton.

Stay tuned, as the story develops.
