#RHONJ Teresa Giudice Reportedly Strikes a Deal For First Post-Prison Interview
The countdown to Teresa Giudice’s release in December from prison is officially on. A new report claims the Real Housewives of New Jersey star is “closing a deal for a big-bucks post-prison tell-all” interview. That big-bucks deal is reportedly $200,000.
“Bravo is giving Teresa the huge paycheck because her contract to film Real Housewives of New Jersey didn’t include the post prison interview,” the insider said. “Teresa’s attorney brokered the deal and was able to get $200,000 because there was bidding with several entertainment news programs.”
Andy Cohen will most likely conduct the “Barbara Walters” styled interview in Teresa’s home, after she’s spent significant time in hair and makeup. Prison has a way of aging a person and Teresa will want to look her best. And the Bravo Clubhouse isn’t special enough. Sorry, according to Radar Online.
“Teresa had wanted an advance of the $200,000 so her family could pay some outstanding bills,” the source continued. “But Bravo didn’t agree to give any portion of the advance because it’s uncertain when Teresa will be able to film the interview. Her attorney is working with probation officials about Teresa’s post prison requirements. There is a small chance that Teresa will have to go to a halfway house first as she transitions back to civilian life.”
Small chance? Wasn’t there a small chance she’d go to prison? In the meantime, we have the special The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In to look forward to hearing from Teresa with “daily ‘check in’ calls” from prison. Oh, joy of joy. Aren’t we lucky.
The feds will be garnishing Teresa’s Bravo paychecks by 25% to pay off the outstanding restitution in her fraud case. So after this interview, Teresa will be $50K closer to paying off her debts. The special premieres on Sunday, October 11.
