#RHOC Brooks Ayers Speaks Out on “Fake Cancer” Accusations
The Real Housewives of Orange County is entrenched in a debate that is seemingly never going to end. The dark question asking does Brooks Ayers have cancer or doesn’t he, has consumed the season of a reality show that is supposed to be a bitch-fest between women! Brooks Ayers spoke to ET about the endless cast convos questioning his integrity, and what the state of his health is today.
“I have cancer,” Ayers told ET on Monday.
According to Ayers, he will be returning to the LA area in October, to receive another round of treatments for his diagnosed Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of blood cancer. Brooks comments, weighing in on the buzzing accusations that he is faking his illness.
“I think they do it to create drama — manufactured drama and that’s sad to me,” said Ayers, who insists that his diagnosis is real. “I’ve distanced myself in a lot of ways from it. It’s useless drama that brings on stress that quite frankly no one needs and in particular my situation. I’m not running from anything.”
Meghan Edmonds and Heather Dubrow were asked to comment on the ongoing controversy, earlier this year.
“There’s a lot of questions that come up,” Meghan King Edmonds said earlier this year. “I’m not the only one [who] has questions about it … I have major, major questions.”
Meghan’s questions are MAJOR, in case you missed her emphasis, or her endless yammering over the last dozen episodes.
“I think that the entire situation will definitely be tried by the court of public opinion, and things come out that are so bizarre,” Heather Dubrow said in July.
Brooks asserts that he is not letting the negativity get to him, and has recently seen improvements in his health. Ayers is reportedly being treated by an oncologist, and since utilizing supplements and IV therapy, his “numbers were normalized.”
“My lesion, my inflammations were gone. Gone!” Ayers said. “So I’m encouraged.”
Personally, I want someone, ANYONE to bump the needle off this skipping record, so we can salvage a shard of a season, and get back to healthy drama. I am beginning to lose hope.
