Sibling Wars! Kathy Hilton Hosts Separate Birthday Celebration for Kim Richards Without Kyle Richards
Are Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton feuding over their sister, Kim Richards? The sisters hosted separate celebrations over the weekend in honor of Kim’s 51st birthday. Kyle Richards celebrated Saturday night with Kim, Kim’s daughters and son-in-law – without Kathy Hilton. The following night, Kathy, her husband Rick, Kim’s ex, Monte, and her son, Chad, celebrated her birthday – WITHOUT Kyle. Many fans are questioning what’s up with Kathy and Kyle?
Until recently, Kyle and sister Kim have not been on speaking terms. After a turbulent season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and an even more disturbing reunion show, Kim was arrested for personal intoxication, among other charges, and her life spun out of control from there. Does Kathy blame Kyle?
It seemed as if sister Kathy took over from that point, encouraging Kim to have a sit-down interview with Dr. Phil, eventually leading to a summer of intermittent rehab stays, not to mention the MIA incident in Mexico. It was pretty obvious, Kathy wasn’t doing much better at handling Kim’s life. Kim posted on Instagram, “Family is EVERYTHING!!!!!” but instead of coming together over the illness of a family member, Kim’s substance abuse appears to be tearing Kyle and Kathy apart.
Just before Kim’s ex-hubby, Monty Brinson, celebrated with former wife and her family, he wrote Kim a long, touching note on Instagram. Part love letter, part good-bye letter, after all these years, Monty and Kim still hold a special place in each other’s hearts. Which is interesting since Monty has a girlfriend.
“A beautiful birthday today, with all your wishes for today and the future come through. It’s been a rough year for you my friend but I’m so proud of you how far you have come through this journey. I see all this brightness and happiness in your life ahead of you. You know in your heart I will always be there for you whether I’m here or some place far away. Besides today being your bday you should treat yourself each day as it was your bday.”
Monty continued his post, showering his ex-wife with fond words.

As usual I’m glad I was glad to be the first person at midnight to wish you and give you a kiss as friend a happy birthday last night. It’s your life and live it to the fullest with brightness and happiness. Always love your friend Monty see you tomorrow night to celebrate your life.”
