EXCLUSIVE: The Real Tea Behind Jill Zarin Not Appearing on #RHONY 100th Episode Special
The Real Housewives of New York is set to celebrate it’s 100th episode, Bravo style this week, with a milestone celebrating special. We have exclusively learned that here will be a gaping “housewife” hole in the production, namely original NYC cast member, Jill Zarin. The hot tea leaking from this missing piece of the urban reality puzzle is where the story gets interesting.
An exclusive inside source asserts that when Andy Cohen reached out to Zarin, he was insistent that she participate in the special, due to his enthusiastic belief that she was the original creative force behind the NYC franchise. Jill agreed to appear on the special, but allegedly attached a condition to the deal. Our insider dishes that Jill wanted Cohen to read a prepared statement during the show, officially acknowledging Zarin as the creator of the New York City franchise. Jill is thought to have been the driving force behind the initial casting, providing the common denominator between the initial NYC “housewives.”
Cohen should have thought twice before lavishing the compliment on Zarin, because when she asked him to publicly acknowledge his praise, he turned her down flat. It appears that Andy expected to privately schmooze Jill, and his strategy unexpectedly backfired. Jill is refusing to appear, minus the prepared statement, and Cohen is standing firm. Many believe that Zarin remains bitter about being dismissed from the Bravo reality show.
Could this have been the power struggle that Jill was waiting for, and a prime opportunity to watch Andy squirm? I will miss seeing Jill…she and Ramona shared some crazy moments!
What do you think of Jill’s demand, and will you miss her?
