In this week’s episode of, Tell us something we didn’t know, Joe Giudice, soon to be imprisoned star of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, is said to be “drowning his sorrows” instead of taking care of his four girls.

As you know, the judge did the Giudice family a huge favor when he staggered Joe and Teresa’s prison sentences for fraud, instead of making them run concurrent, so that one parent was able to provide constant care and supervision. However, a source is telling OK! Magazine,

“The attempt makes no difference for the Giudice family, as Joe is never around!”

The source is saying, “Joe is a completely unfit parent. There was good reason Teresa was so worried about leaving him in charge” of Gia, 14, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5.

We have reported countless times that Joe has been frequently spotted at Rails Steakhouse in Towaco, NJ, and is considered a “regular” at this establishment, instead of staying home with his daughters.

The source offered this explanation. “Joe knows he’s going to jail in a matter of months, so drowning his sorrows is more important to him than his daughters.” The source continued, “Joe’s in-laws aren’t watching them, they have no one looking out for their best interests.” Adding that, “Joe should be ashamed of himself for letting his wife and his family down yet again.”

As time for Joe’s incarceration—and Teresa’s release—grows closer, it seems as if Joe is becoming even more uninterested in public perception, something that is usually very important to his wife. With Gia acting as the “substitute mother” for her younger sisters, some question if it will be difficult for Teresa to resume control of her girls when she’s released or if she’ll happily hand over control to Gia so that Teresa may begin to repair and re-establish her title as queen of reality television. Tell us what you think.
