Brooks Ayers Accused of Hiring Hit Man To Kill Vicki Gunvalson’s Former Business Partner
Things are getting crazier than ever in the OC and Brooks Ayers, star of The Real Housewives of Orange County and Vicki Gunvalson’s hot-and-cold boyfriend, is at the heart of it.
According to court documents, when Vicki and Brooks landed in Vegas for Brooks’ birthday in March, her ex-business partner, Robert Williamson III met up with her in the Bellagio hotel for a hush-hush meeting. (You’ll remember Robert as Vicki’s former partner in the now defunct Vicki’s Vodka venture.) There, Williamson made claims that Brooks hired a hitman to kill Williamson and his wife, Cate.
Williamson filed a lawsuit in which he also made allegations that Brooks 1) knocked up his Mississippi divorce attorney’s paralegal, thereby causing her to lose her job 2) conspired with another person to extort money from Williamson 3) was riddled with STDs.
Brooks denied it all and filed a slander and defamation lawsuit of his own, claiming he “was publicly vilified and humiliated and has suffered substantial damages in the form of pain, suffering, anguish and lost business opportunities.”
At first, Vicki is thought to have bought into Williamson’s tale, hook, line, and sinker, supposedly telling Brooks to “lose [her] number.” Ultimately, she began to see holes in Williamson’s story and got back together with Brooks.
Another woman, Angela Torres, known to both Brooks and Williamson, got mixed up in all the drama. According to Brooks’ suit, Williamson caught wind of the extortion plot from text messages on Torres’ phone. But Torres has a different story, claiming Williamson is, “…nothing but a liar! Just like he proposed to me and promised he would leave Cate by March!”
According to the suit, Brooks claims Torres reached out by text on March 31. “OMG what is going on Brooks! We need to talk PLEASE. Sorry I’m just really scared for my life.”
Brooks texted a response (one that is on file along with the suit) on April 9. “The BIG deal is that Robert has implicated me/you in a plan to extort/blackmail and/or have him killed. Pretty serious and I’m not taking it lightly.”
She allegedly answered back, “Well it’s obvious that its (sic) not true … I guess I’m just confused on everything. Sorry.”
Brooks replied, “Well, he provided a supposed text from your phone that came from me. We’ll find out the facts. … So you’re telling me that you never insinuated to Robert that I was contacting you via text that I was encouraging you to extort money from him or we’d have him killed?”
Her claimed response: “No, I told Rob that I felt like he was going to hurt ME!”
Whoa! That is a whole lot of convoluted. All this is making me question Vicki’s judgment in men—both as boyfriends and business partners.
