RECAP: #BigBrother17 — OTEV The Rocker [Episode 25]
The Aus-Twins are in power. Becky and Johnny Mac are nominated.
Right after nominations, it’s still unclear who Liz’s actual target is. She says Johnny Mac and Becky are on the block, but there’s a chance Vanessa might get backdoored. (Stop getting our hopes up!) Becky says if a train didn’t stop her, the houseguests won’t either. Johnny Mac wants to stay, and go after Vanessa. Austin is all bent out of shape about Johnny Mac giving him a death stare. He says Johnny Mac he never made a deal with Austin, they never talk game, and it wasn’t Austin who nominated him.
Vanessa thinks she can smooth things over with Johnny Mac after their blow up. She reassures him he is not the target. She tells him he’s a Veto King, and he has nothing to worry about. Remember when Vanessa rushed up to the HOH room after her blow up with Johnny Mac? Well, she says she didn’t go up there to complain about him. She went up there to find out if he was being nominated. She’s a straight shooter. Johnny Mac doesn’t believe her. He says oh you’re up there looking out for me? By looking out do you mean making sure my fasteners are securely attached to the railroad track for when the train comes? Then he adds: “I just wanna take a nap! Damnit!” He wants the whole house to know she is his sworn enemy, and she’s the only one he’s coming after.
The Aus-twins are all bent out of shape over Johnny Mac. Austin says he (Johnny Mac) gave him a look like he wants to kill him. Johnny Mac hates them. He goes on this rant about Johnny Mac being depressed instead of trying to make a deal with them. They were on Shelli and Clay’s side. Liz says he won’t even look at her. Julia says “whatever!”
Steve and Johnny Mac have always been secret allies. Steve heads to the have not room to check on Johnny Mac. JMac tells him he has to win veto or he’s going home. Steve tells Johnny Mac he needs to go make nice with Vanessa. They agree taking out Vanessa isn’t going to happen. He tells JMac to get a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast. Then go win that Veto. He wants to help JMac because he knows JMac will stay loyal to him. He’s trying to figure out why JMac isn’t close with the twins, and how he can help.
Steve goes up to the HOH to check in, and find out how he can help his buddy. The Aus-Twins and Vanessa are hanging out. They tells Steve JMac is acting all pissy. If he doesn’t change his attitude, he will be gone. Even calling him scary and volatile. Steve says JMac just feels like he’s alone. They advise Steve to tell JMac to come to them and make a deal. If he says he wants to work with them, he’ll be safe.
Becky is in bed. JMac comes in and asks her what’s up. Becky says everything went bad. It started last Tuesday. Becky had all the votes, but the house flipped. Now Jackie is gone, and Vanessa’s allies are in power. So, they’re up on the block.
They showed a small segment on the twins doing some pamper/beauty time. Liz wants to enjoy her HOH. Liz has on a mud mask, but it hurts to peel it off. So, Austin decides to rip it off little by little. Great job Austin.
The Aus-twins are having some strategy time. (Insert roll) More like Austin telling the twins what to do, and they follow like a bunch of idiots. He tells the twins this week is a test. They want to see what is Becky doing? What is Johnny Mac doing? What is Vanessa doing?
Since JMac is playing chess right outside the door with Steve, now is the time to talk to him. They bring him in for a chat. They want to know where his head is at, and what his targets are. After the Chess game, JMac goes in and talks to The Aus-Twins.(Minus Julia) Austin says he’s been hearing a lot of weird stuff about Vanessa. Austin asks what JMac wanted to talk to them about the night he followed her up to the HOH? The night Vanessa basically painted JMac as an angry, volatile, and physically threatening person. Austin asks what Vanessa told him about what she was talking to them about. JMac says she told him she went up to make sure he wasn’t going on the block. The Aus-Twins (minus Julia) are in disbelief. JMac says he had to play dumb so she doesn’t blow up his game. JMac says he’s been after Vanessa for awhile, but he’s kept it to himself because everyone loves her. Austin and JMac agree Vanessa spins things, and she’s really paranoid. JMac points out everyone who has had a blow up with her has gone home. Austin says she was going to backdoor him because of 1 conversation with Jason. JMac says he feels like Liz and Austin are hearing him out. He thinks this can ensure his safety, and put the target on Vanessa. They were scared Vanessa is just making all kinds of deals with him. Based on info JMac is providing, Liz says the stars are aligning. She thinks they may be able to work with him. They are onto Vanessa.
#CaptainCamo segment. James likes to play jokes. Especially on Julia. So, it’s dark and Julia is in bed. James sneaks in the room, and hides from her. He touches her. Julia thinks it’s James, but it’s dark. He yells BOO and she runs out of the room screaming. “Jaaaaaaaaaaammeessaaaaaaaahh!”
They pick players for the Veto Competition. Liz wants Austin picked so they can win it, and hold all the power. Then she can decide later what to do. Liz, Becky, JMac, Meg, Austin, and Steve are picked. James hosts. Liz got houseguests choice. Julia is mad her sister didn’t pick her to play. She says “sisters before misters!” It’s not fair she never gets to play. After the players are picked, JMac and Austin talk in the bathroom. JMac says it was a nice draw. Austin agrees. Austin suggests JMac throw the competition. He wants noms to stay the same. He promises JMac they have his back. JMac says he’s thrown comps since week 2, but it’s a little risky because he’s on the block.
Austin gets excited and tells the twins JMac plans on throwing the Veto. They ask Austin what he’s eating. He says tuna. They’re grossed out because he has a mouth full. Austin says he didn’t want to be downstairs so he stuffed the entire thing in his mouth. Austin chokes. The twins are really grossed out.
JMac tells Becky the only way for both of them to stay, he’s going to throw it. She needs to win it. Becky isn’t confident she can win. She says she’s a one hit wonder. JMac tells her not to count herself out. Becky says Meg and James are safe. They won’t play for her. JMac agrees. Becky says most likely she’s leaving. JMac says just win it. Becky says “In it to win it.”
The Veto comp is one of the traditional comps. OTEV. This time he’s a rock god. (he’s also been a penguin who insulted the houseguests.) Otev the Rocker is obsessed with “buuuttaaahhh!” The one thing he likes more than groupies. He’s going to sing a song about an evicted houseguest. They have to slide down the picnic blanket, and find the buttaaahhhh with that houseguests name on it. They must bring it back up the picnic blanket and kneel on a drum. In each round there will be 1 less drum. (Think musical chairs) The last person up will be eliminated. The backyard is a giant picnic, and the buttaaahhh with the houseguests names are buried inside. Of course the first player eliminated is JMac. Who we already knew was throwing it anyways. Meg was climbing back up the picnic blanket, and fell and hit her head. Then she was eliminated. Oh and Becky took a giant leap over the pool of buuttaahhh onto the picnic blanket. Liz noticed it, and Becky now scares her more than before. Becky also took one of the butttahhh sticks right out of Austin’s hands thinking it was the correct name. It turned out to be the wrong one. Becky basically tackled him for it. Liz told Austin if he won the Veto, she would make out with him. Final 2 was Austin and Liz. Liz won the Veto. Liz has the power to do whatever she wants this week. JMac assumes the Veto won’t be used, so his plan is to not make waves. Becky is bummed, but she doesn’t count herself out yet. She’s a fighter.
Vanessa goes to the HOH and celebrates with Liz a little bit. Vanessa asks Liz if JMac ever told her who his target is. Liz plays dumb, and says she doesn’t know. Vanessa asks if he’s made any deals with them. He’s just been interacting better? Liz says yes, and Becky is more of a threat to her. Liz says Vanessa constantly gaming just confirms she’s insecure. Liz calls her Audrey #2. Vanessa tells Liz and Austin something else. When James was HOH, and Becky was ratting to Shelli and Clay. Becky said Meg and Jackie were trying to get Clay and Shelli nominated, but don’t worry she’s redirecting the target to the twins. Austin says Vanessa’s paranoid. When someone who’s supposed to be you ally comes to you nervous. They may not be the most trustworthy person. After Vanessa leaves, Austin says that was a good conversation. They need to make her feel amazing all week. Liz tells Austin about her conversation with Vanessa about JMac’s targets. Austin says she needs to bury Becky so she doesn’t get backdoored. Austin says Vanessa thinks he’s in Liz’s ear, and she’ll do what he wants. Liz worries if she can’t trust Austin, she might put him on the block.
James, Becky, JMac, and Meg talk about Meg’s fall. How brutal it looked. Liz won the Veto, and JMac says he feels good right now.
We get a little segment on Austin and Liz’s showmance. Liz says she loves Austin now because they got the job done. (Winning Veto) Austin says they make fun of eachother, but then they cuddle. Their connection is growing. Then they have a bow chica wow wow moment and have a 30 second make out session.
Julia notices Liz has a hickey on her neck. Julia calls Austin in and asks what’s on Liz’s neck. Austin says he doesn’t see anything. Julia says “no more sucky.”Julia says she doesn’t know what her parents think about him. He’s not the kind of guy you bring home to mom and dad. Julia says if she sees another hickey, she’s going after Austin with a bat.
Steve and Vanessa are hanging out in the hammock. Ok Steve is under the hammock. Steve is poking her. Vanessa then starts the waterworks, and says she’s very lonely. Everyone has someone, but her. Steve bless his heart says he’s going to get dressed, and they can go play chess. Liz comes out and Vanessa says she use to be close to Austin, but now the 3 of them (Aus-Twins) are so tight she feels like the 4th wheel. Oh she’s so lonely! Liz says Vanessa is always playing the victim, and it’s annoying. Liz tries to reassure her. Vanessa asks if she’s done anything. Liz says no. No one is mad at her.
Liz tells Austin about her conversation with a sobbing Vanessa. Austin says it’s scary because she can flip the script and put him on the block. Liz is thinking the same thing. Liz wants to put her out of her misery, and put her on the block. Let her cry at the jury house. Austin says they were suppose to be a team. Liz says Vanessa is bugging out, and it’s annoying her. Liz is scared to keep her in the game. She might target Austin.
Finally we make it to the Veto Ceremony. Vanessa says she’s not as close with Austin. She hopes he didn’t get into Liz’s ear about putting her up as a backdoor target. Becky and JMac make speeches. Becky says 1 week ago she was HOH, and she kept the Aus-Twins safe. Use the POV and all will be forgotten. JMac speech was silly. He says the couch is more comfortable so use it on him. Liz says both of them are comp beasts, and she thinks one of them will come back into the house. She doesn’t use the Veto.
