RECAP: #BigBrother17 — Welcome to The Big Brother Comic Book Store [Episode 22]
HOH Becky has a plan. She enlisted the help of “The Outsiders” to put her plan in motion. Will her plan be carried out? Has Vanessa’s luck ran out?
We’re on Day 51 now. Right after the nomination ceremony. Steve and Shelli are on the block, but this is all part of Becky’s master plan. Becky says (In her DR) Vanessa thinks Shelli is Becky’s target, and if either Steve or Shelli wins the POV, the plan is to backdoor Johnny Mac. Vanessa is worried she’s a backdoor target. Shelli will go out “guns blazing!” She’s not going out without a fight. She knows it’s not going to be easy. “The Sixth Sense Alliance” is in trouble. Shelli talks to Becky, and they smooth things over once Becky reassures her she’s not going home. To keep Vanessa off their trail she has to act like she’s pissed off. Shelli is happy to act like she has no clue what’s going on, and she had no idea who the real target is.
Steve has some unfounded paranoia. He thinks Becky is after him. He doesn’t understand why Becky is targeting him. He’s alone and decides to talk to the camera. He says Becky’s speech during nominations about him was accurate. He says he really wants to get rid of Becky. Steve later finds out Vanessa is the target. He talks to himself. He doesn’t know what to do. Johnny Mac and Vanessa are his closest allies, But they are at odds.
Vanessa has more deals than the devil. I’m highly surprised it took the houseguests this long to figure her out. She asks Shelli if she’s ok. Vanessa tells Shelli she’s the only one she trusts. Shelli knows Vanessa is the backdoor target, but she’s in a tough spot. She’s on the block and telling Vanessa will ensure she hangs out at the jury house on Friday. She really doesn’t want to tell Vanessa. Vanessa tells Shelli if she gets “houseguests choice” when they pick Veto players, she should pick her. She will use the Veto on her. She’ll play for Shelli. Vanessa also offers the same deal to Steve.
Jackie’s week in her “armortard” is over. She strips off the costume. We got sexy music to go with it. James really enjoyed this strip tease. Everyone was clapping and enjoying the show.
Shelli talks to Johnny Mac. They’ve been allies in the past. Johnny Mac thinks Shelli will be a good ally. Shelli asks Johnny Mac if he knows the plan. (To backdoor Vanessa.) He says he does know. Shelli asks Johnny Mac if he would use the Veto on her. He said he would. Shelli thinks Johnny Mac is also a great ally. She needs him.
Johnny Mac and Steve get together for some game talk. Johnny Mac says he’s put together information. Vanessa is the target this week. Johnny Mac says they have to keep it a secret, and just ride the waves this week. Steve really wants to tell Vanessa, but it would make the target on his back a lot bigger. Steve asks if Johnny Mac would use the Veto on him. Johnny Mac says no. Steve asks Johnny Mac if he would let him stay on the block until Thursday. Johnny Mac says yes. Steve asks if he’s safe, and Johnny Mac says yes. Steve hasn’t won anything. Johnny Mac says Steve has this unfounded fear. No one is coming after him. Johnny Mac says they have to keep Shelli safe because she’s a smart player to keep as an ally.
We got a little segment about Austin and Liz. Liz says flirting with Austin started out as strategy, but it’s developing into something more. Austin says some lovey dovey stuff to her about beautiful hands. (GROSS!) Liz admits she doesn’t usually fall for Austin’s type, but his personality won her over. She now wants to convince him to shave off his beard, and ponytail. Julia is just grossed out by her sister’s newest love.
Time to pick players for the Veto Competition! Becky, Shelli, Austin, Vanessa, and Meg. Shelli got houseguests choice, but instead of picking Johnny Mac, she went with her gut and chose Vanessa. Johnny Mac is a little upset with Shelli. She’s risking the backdoor Vanessa master plan. Meg is super excited! Johnny Mac and Steve are a little upset with Shelli for picking Vanessa. It compromises their plans. Shelli rationalizes picking Vanessa to Johnny Mac. She tells him if she didn’t pick Vanessa, she would pitch a fit. She’s afraid of Vanessa blowing up. She promises Johnny Mac she didn’t want to get houseguests choice. Vanessa is excited she was picked. She wants to win so she can be safe, and save Shelli. Johnny Mac says “Don’t let her win it.”
Random stuff shown on tonight’s show: James pulling another prank. This time it was Jackie. Vanessa gives Austin dating advice. Liz loves guys who play hard to get. (Hint Hint: Back off the touching Austin.)
Tonight’s Veto Competition was titled “BB Comics.” Here’s how the game went: The houseguests use a zip line. They have to memorize the comics in the window. Then they have to put them in order on their computer. Be warned: Each comic has a decoy. There is a something different not matching the comic in the window. Did I forget to mention the comics are about each houseguest? Pretty funny stuff. Audrey’s was “The Blanket.” (During her last few days in the house, Audrey walked around with a blanket over her and sunglasses on.) A few of the houseguests loved Audrey’s comic, or should I say scared of? Meg goes first, but gets stuck on Clay’s comic entitled “Mr Perfection.” His hot pants were a little different.
Becky’s strategy was to go through and do the men first. After she gets the men in order, and correct, she’ll move onto the women. She got stuck on Austin’s comic entitled “Austin the Barbarian.” Apparently, “Austin the Barbarian” had a little odor issues. Shelli went next. Her comic was entitled “The Puma.” Shelli says it pokes fun at the age difference between Clay and her. She says “Pumas” are cute. Her strategy was to memorize the order. After she gets the order correct, she’ll go back and look at the differences.
Austin decides his strategy is to use his athleticism, but he ran out of breath right in the middle. Austin had issues with his comic having an odor. He names all the showers he takes. Austin did get stuck on Liz’s comic. He started daydreaming about all the activities he wants to do with her. Steve has the same strategy as Shelli. Get the order, then go back and check the differences. He gets stuck on Becky’s comic titled “The Trainac.” Vanessa’s turn, or should I say “Mad hatter?”She has the same strategy as Steve and Shelli. She’s excited because this competition requires memory, one of her strengths. She thinks she did well. Her goal is to eliminate herself as a backdoor target, and save Shelli. Everyone goes into the backyard and gets their first look at their comics. Liz loved being called the evil twin. The person who completed the order the fastest, wins POV. Meg’s time: 15:37. Becky’s time: 17:02 Shelli’s time: 25:31 Austin’s time: 21:20 Steve’s time 13:57, and Vanessa’s time 21:44. Steve completed the competition fastest. He wins the Veto!
Becky is ecstatic! Her plan is coming together! Vanessa isn’t so happy. She’s nervous. She knows Becky’s options are limited. It’s either Vanessa or Johnny Mac.
Vanessa asks James if Becky is sticking with the plan. (Backdoor Johnny Mac. Send home Shelli.) James says he doesn’t know. Vanessa gets irritated and says there’s nothing to talk about. James is more evasive and tells her to go talk to Becky. He thinks she’s a straight shooter. Vanessa doesn’t believe him. She thinks he’s BSing her. James denies he knows anything. He doesn’t want to run Becky’s HOH. James says he’s just staying out of everything this week.
After James finally gets out of Vanessa’s interrogation room: he goes to the Have-Not room to tell Meg and Jackie what happened. He says Vanessa has a feeling she’s getting backdoored.
Vanessa thinks she should have a chat with Becky. Becky is just relaxing with some wine in her HOH room. Vanessa starts out with she knows Johnny Mac is Becky’s friend. Vanessa says by process of elimination, it’s between her and Johnny Mac for replacement nominee. Vanessa thinks Becky owes her for saving her the week Jason was blindsided. Becky tries to reassure her paranoia by telling her she’s safe. Vanessa gets excited about being safe for one more week. Becky thinks Vanessa has dug her grave deep enough.
After her talk with Becky, Vanessa heads to the Have-Not room to talk with “The Outsiders.” (and Austin.) She proposes a deal with them. “The Outsiders” ask about already having a deal? Vanessa thinks she’s 100% safe. Vanessa leaves as Becky walks in, and they laugh. Becky starts telling them about her conversation with Vanessa. She starts laughing about Vanessa thinking she’s safe.
POV Meeting: Of course Steve removes himself from the block. Becky gets up and says this is personal. Vanessa is put up as the replacement nominee. She called Vanessa influential, and says she has a hard time figuring out who Vanessa’s allies are because she stabs them in the back. Austin says Becky wanted to make a big move. She better be ready for the consequences. Vanessa says she’s hurt, and Becky was disrespectful. She (Becky) broke her word. Don’t count her out. Vanessa says she has more plays left. Johnny Mac says it’s about to get crazy. Vanessa’s going to cry, and scream at everyone. It’s about to get crazy!
Double Eviction on Thursday night! You know Double Eviction night is always crazy! Who will join Shelli or Vanessa? 9pm! See you Thursday! It’s not too late to get the 24/7 unedited feeds!

Alison is a 32 year old native of The Bay Area, California. She loves reality shows. Guess you can say she’s sort of an addict, the crazier, the better! She’s sarcastic, snarky, brutally honest (tell it like it is kinda girl), but she does have a soft side as well.
