RECAP: #BigBrother17 — A House Divided [Episode 21]

The house has been divided. “The Sixth Sense Alliance” Vs. “The Outsiders” with Johnny Mac, Steve, and Becky floating in the middle. Every HOH competition is important at this point. HOH James took a big risk going after “Clelli.” “The Sixth Sense Alliance” is down to 5. We’re now at day 50. Who will come out on top?

We left off on Thursday with the “Midway Mayhem” HOH competition. There are 3 prizes total. (The Never HN pass, 5k, and HOH) Shelli is out for blood after she lost her epic love on Thursday. It was all very dramatic. She wants to win this and go after the guy who took away her happiness. Steve is worried about Becky winning for some reason. He thinks she sees him as a threat. Liz points out her twin sister and her are the only power couple left in the house, and it makes them vulnerable. Austin sees Liz falling all over the place, and just hopes she’s falling for him. Becky is in the lead. She wants to make a big move, and prove she’s there to play the game. Shelli hears James on the sidelines narrating the competition, and wants to win this and go after him more now. Meg is not doing well. She says she’s like grandma in the fast lane no one can pass. James makes a few jokes at her expense, but it’s pretty clear Meg isn’t going to win this thing. Instead she makes up a competition of her own. She competes against Austin for who’s going slowest. Becky gets a pretty good lead going. Vanessa knows she’s not going to win, so she just starts cheering on her other alliance members. Johnny Mac just wants to keep up the pace in case the others get hit by lightning. At this point Jackie sees Becky’s lead, and starts cheering for her. She knows Becky is now playing with “The Outsiders.” One of the twins says “The girl (Becky) gets hit by a train, and she’s freaking Superwoman!” Becky decides her lead is big enough. She goes for all 3 prizes, and wins them all! She’s the new HOH.

So Johnny Mac talks about the reason he needed to win HOH. (During the comp) He went from being under the radar, to being a target. This is what happened. Johnny Mac and James were hanging out in the bedroom talking about how dumb Clay was to give up his game for love. Clay peeked in, and saw them talking. Johnny Mac tells Clay he’ll vote him out, but it’s not good for his game. (Clay requested to be voted out.) Clay asks why. Johnny Mac says he thinks Vanessa is in Shelli’s ear, and they will target him. Clay goes to Vanessa and tells him to try and have a conversation with Johnny Mac because James told him Vanessa’s in Shelli’s ear, and he’s a target. Vanessa is furious. She pulls James into a room, and asks him point blank if he has a problem with her. James looks confused and says he doesn’t. Vanessa relays what she’s been told. James completely denies this, and swears on his daughter he never said anything like that.Vanessa says Clay told her this. James is pissed. He walks into the bedroom and tells Clay he doesn’t know how much time he has left in the house, but keep his name out of his mouth. Clay tells him to “Shut up.” James calls him a coward. Meanwhile, Vanessa continues the telephone game, and pulls Johnny Mac into a bedroom. He asks if James told him all this, and Johnny Mac says no. Back to the James/Clay beef. James and Clay go at it more. James calls Clay a liar, and says that’s all he’s been doing.

Clay tells James he’s going home, and they go chest to well waist because James is a lot shorter. James asks if Clay’s going to hit him. It almost gets this far, but they eventually back off. Vanessa comes out with Johnny Mac and tells Clay Johnny Mac denies James told him all that garbage. Vanessa asks both of them (Johnny Mac and Clay) who said it. Johnny Mac says he did. Vanessa doesn’t believe him. She thinks he’s covering for Clay because “they’re either related or gay lovers.” Vanessa asks how James was dragged into this. Clay says he assumed. Vanessa doesn’t believe it came from Johnny Mac. She says it’s some kind of Clay manipulation. She pretty much goes off the deep end. She starts crying. Johnny Mac sees through Vanessa’s act. He says she’s done it before. She’s a loose cannon because she’s emotional. At some point Shelli comes in, and asks what’s going on. They fill her in. She denies ever wanting to target Johnny Mac. Clay, Johnny Mac, and Shelli are sitting down talking things out. Clay says he didn’t mean for it to get like this. He told Vanessa so they would hash things out. He didn’t think she would run to James. Johnny Mac says she’s a loose cannon, and plays too emotional. It’s part of her manipulation. She took out 3 players already. (By playing emotional, and using manipulation.) Johnny Mac says she will turn on you with no problems. Shelli says proceed with caution. It ended up as a big misunderstanding. According to the guy who started the mess to begin with.

After The HOH Competition, Becky celebrates getting all 3 prizes. The Outsiders don’t seem worried, but Steve is. He says it’s the worst case scenario. Shelli also worries because first Becky rolled with them. Then “the enemy” started running things and she started rolling with them. Becky gloats a bit. She says everyone will be surprised with who her real target it.

Shelli walks in the house, and sobs. She says she walks into the living room, and sees Clay’s picture black and white. Then she walks into the bedroom, and he’s not there. His stuff isn’t there. She says she feels completely alone. She has a big red target, and she’s without her main man. Meg comforts her, but says in her DR it’s completely annoying. Sitting in the living room she tells the twins she never cries over guys. All 3 of them mourn the loss of their beloved Clay. He’s not dead. Shelli worries about what Clay is doing on the outside. She wonders if his feelings will remain intense. Hers will, but she’ll be still secluded from the outside World while hanging out at the jury house. The twins ask how far it is from Texas to Georgia. Shelli says a 2 or 3 hour flight. They talk about New York. Clay hasn’t been there, so they’ll have to fly there at Christmas to visit Meg.

Everyone is wondering what Becky is going to do. Becky decided to pick a side. She trusts “The Outsiders” more, so she’ll roll with them. Johnny Mac tries to tell Steve not to worry about Becky. Johnny Mac loves Becky being HOH.

Steve, and Johnny Mac have a conversation about how Vanessa operates. Steve doesn’t like Vanessa, and Johnny Mac at odds because he’s close to both of them.

Who wants to see Becky’s HOH room? Everyone checks out Becky’s pictures. She has some of friends, family, and one of her in a bikini top with her dog. James says he doesn’t see the dog. He only sees how hot Becky looks. The hgs are bummed about Becky’s HOH basket. It’s full of healthy foods! Oh no! James says he rather eat slop.

Shelli asks Vanessa who she thinks Becky will target. Vanessa says Steve. Shelli says they ran the show for 4 weeks, now it’s “The Outsiders” turn. Vanessa worries about being a target. She worries so much she accidentally sprays disinfectant in her hair instead of hairspray.

“The Outsiders” ask Becky what’s the plan? Becky says the plan last week was to target the remaining “Clelli” member, but she has other ideas. Becky wants to put up Shelli and Steve, and backdoor Vanessa. Becky says Vanessa has thrown a lot of people under the bus. She’s pissed people off. Jackie says she rather keep Shelli over Vanessa. Becky swears them to secrecy. No one can talk about it outside the HOH room. Vanessa might smell blood in the water, and catch on. They want to surprise her during the POV Ceremony. Becky says she worked Black Friday. She can deal with Vanessa.

They show a segment on Steve. He doesn’t hang out with the others very much. He prefers to talk to himself, and hang out in the Storage Room. He embraces being odd. He says he does this in his daily life. He’s always coming up with strange ideas. He’s had a few while hanging out in The Big Brother House. He even got in trouble for one of them.

Shelli decides it’s time to talk to Becky, and find out what’s going on. She asks Becky where they stand. Becky says she has a bigger target in mind. Becky tells Shelli Vanessa is her target. She plans on backdooring her. Shelli gets a little emotional about it, and refuses to throw Vanessa under the bus. Becky says Vanessa has no problems doing that. Becky tells Shelli to play it off like she’s Becky’s target. She wants Shelli to act pissed off at her this week so Vanessa doesn’t catch onto her plan.

Vanessa heads up to the HOH where Becky, and Austin are talking about random stuff. She asks if the plans still the same. (Shelli on the block this week) Becky says yes. If one of her nominees wins Veto, Johnny Mac goes up as a replacement nominee. Vanessa asks Becky not to tell Shelli she knew about this. She also proposes making a deal with Becky, but Becky shuts her down. She says no more deals. No more alliances. Becky sees right through Vanessa. Vanessa is beside herself about Becky. She gets paranoid about Becky refusing to make a deal with her.

Becky assures Johnny Mac he’s completely safe this week. Becky asks him for secrecy before telling him her plan. She plans on backdooring Vanessa. Johnny Mac is ecstatic about this plan. Becky says Vanessa’s word is crap. She’s backstabbed enough people, and blown up games. She warns Johnny Mac she’s going to tell people he’s getting backdoored, but don’t believe it. Becky says not to speak to her. She doesn’t want people to catch on. They hug it out.

Nomination Ceremony. Becky nominates Shelli and Steve. (as planned) She says she wants Steve to get dirty, up his social game, win some comps. She tells Shelli it was heartbreaking watching her separate from someone she cares about, but there were some fights. She can’t look past that. Steve is in his DR- Yes he’s playing below the radar. He’s doing it on purpose. Now that Becky is advertising it, she’s his target. Shelli says she’s been told she’s not the target, but to ensure her safety she has to win POV.
