Andy Cohen Talks #RHOA Season 8 Cast and NeNe Leakes’ Departure
Who’s ready for the upcoming eighth season of Real Housewives of Atlanta? Premiering later this year, Andy Cohen, ‘Real Housewives’ creator and host of “Watch What Happens Live,” spoke about when the new cast will be revealed and life without NeNe Leaks. Andy said,
“It’ll probably be announced like six weeks before the show premieres, which is when we usually announce it. And no info.” Was his response when asked for specifics about the cast.
As we’ve reported earlier, NeNe quit her RHOA gig to focus on other projects such as the game show “To Tell the Truth” which she will be co-hosting with comedy icon Betty White.

But was Andy surprised by Nene’s exit? He says no.
“I mean, frankly, it wasn’t much of a surprise,” Andy revealed. “We all kind of assumed that she wasn’t coming back. She had kind of moved on with her life. She wasn’t really hanging out with many of the women. And she was kind of over it, so think it just natural evolution had her growing away from the show. I hope that she’ll come back and visit.”
