Yolanda Foster Removes Leaky Breast Implants
When Yolanda Foster, 51, got breast implants 20 years ago, she never imagined they would threaten her life years later.
After being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, Yolanda has been struggling with the illness on and off ever since. The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star routinely explores alternative treatments for her Chronic Neurological disorder and has been candid about her struggle. The reality star routinely shares health updates via social media. In March, Foster flew to Singapore with husband, David Foster, to seek medical care and then headed to Germany to explore more treatment options.
Now, according to TMZ, leaky breast implants may be the culprit that has exacerbated her preexisting medical condition, so she’s had both implants removed from her body.
She shared a photo and powerful message on Instagram Friday about her decision, writing, “♥︎ Turn a mess into a message……. We might have hit the jackpot by finding all this silicone from a 20 year old implant rupture through ultrasound mapping as shown in this selfie.”
The former model’s battle with Lyme disease turned debilitating earlier this year. Yolanda shared in her Bravo blog that a relapse had severely diminished her ability to read, write, and even to watch television, because of severely diminished brain function.
“I have lost the ability to read, write, or even watch TV, because I can’t process information or any stimulation for that matter. It feels like someone came in and confiscated my brain and tied my hands behind my back to just watch and see life go by without me participating in it.”
Athough the removal of her implants won’t cure for her disease, her medical status is expected to become more manageable and her prognosis is hopeful.
