Tamra Judge Contemplated Suicide During Custody Battle With Simon Barney
Real Housewives of Orange County star, Tamra Judge is revealing that her custody battle with ex-husband, Simon Barney, was a very dark period in her life.
Tamra and her ex-husband, Simon Barney, endured a drawn-out custody battle years after their split, and during the tumultuous legal battle, the reality star reportedly experienced suicidal thoughts.
“I got very depressed,” Judge tells In Touch Weekly. “There were times where I didn’t want to wake up and live.”
During the legal battle, Tamra was ordered by the court to hand over custody of her 16-year-old daughter, Sidney to Simon Barney. This decision ultimately encouraged her to lean on the church for spiritual guidance.
“I was in the lowest place I’d ever been in my life,” she shares. “As a family, we started to go to church to help with the pain.”
Subsequently this is what drove Tamra to get baptized in May. Viewers will see Tamra’s baptism on season 10 of the RHOC.
“My original plan was not to do it on camera,” she explains. “But after talking to my pastor, he told me that it could be very helpful for other people.”
