RECAP: #BigBrother17 — Nominations and BOB [Episode 13]
Looks like Audrey’s 9 lives may be up! You can play the game like she has for so long before it catches up to you. On tonight’s show, looks like the other houseguests are done giving chances.
Let’s start out with the Battle of the Block. James and Jackie won dethroning HOH(s) Liz/Julia. Liz/Julia, Jason, and Johnny Mac have to be “The Whackstreet Boys” for the week as a punishment. Everytime they get “paged” they have to go to wherever in the house their “fans” are and perform a routine. Very funny. They showed a sequence of dances “The Whackstreet Boys” have performed over the week. All hours of the day and night. Their fans are waiting! Anyways, the responses to Battle of the Block are mixed. James and Jackie are elated. James says he’s going to sit around eating cereal, and watch the madness unfold. Shelli is happy she’s the sole HOH, but her target might be changing. Liz/Julia are not excited they got dethroned, but they’re sure Shelli will keep them safe. Jason is ready to play The Veto, and is even more hopeful when Shelli tells him there is a chance to save him. Johnny Mac says he’s had good luck with the veto, so he’s going to “Fight/Win/Live!”
Audrey is unhappy. She tells James she feels betrayed because Shelli threw her under the bus. (She told Jason it was Audrey who told her Jason was going after her.) She calls Clay/Shelli dumb, and naive about people wanting to work with them, and have their back. She says she’s been fiercely loyal to them. She kind of hints to James she wants to target Shelli and Clay and separate the Ken and Barbie duo. She doesn’t come right out and say it, but James read between the lines.
James says he has no idea why Audrey is telling him this stuff, but to win brownie points with HOH Shelli and Clay, he’s going to tell them about the conversation. He tells them about Audrey being mad at Shelli for throwing her under the bus with Jason. He tells them she hinted about targeting them, and she’s especially pissed at Shelli. Shelli is all up in arms about this, and says Audrey makes her paranoid. Clay is just pissed. I was waiting for him to tell Shelli I told ya so, but he didn’t.
Clay decides to have a little conversation with Audrey. Audrey says she’s pissed because Shelli threw her under the bus, and everyone has someone else in this game except her. Clay tries to keep it together. Audrey asks him to “swear on his life she’s not going up as a replacement nominee.” Clay doesn’t give her that reassurance.
Shelli fills Vanessa in on what’s been going on. She says she totally screwed up throwing Audrey’s name out there when she was talking to Jason. Audrey is now really pissed off at her. Clay walks in and tells Shelli Audrey is very worried what she’s been saying is going to get back to Shelli. They all agree not to decide on anything until the player for the veto comp are picked.
Players for the veto are: Shelli, Johnny Mac, Jason, Vanessa, Meg, and James. James says he really wants to win the veto and take Jason off the block. Jason will owe him in the future. Jason feels good about the players. He says 50% of them would take him off the block, and the other 50% he could probably convince them to use the veto on him. Shelli is just happy Audrey didn’t get picked. It gives her a choice to maybe backdoor Audrey.
Shelli tells Meg it makes her sick to put Audrey on the block. Vanessa comes in and says the house is with her if she decides to do it. Vanessa says Audrey has been given a lot of chances, and now she’s done with her. James comes up, so most of the veto players are now in the HOH room deciding about the veto. Oh of course Clay’s up there too. Shelli feels such betrayal by Audrey, but it will still be hard for her. They talk briefly about replacement nominees.
After that meeting finishes, Audrey corners James in the Storage Room and asks if he’s heard anything about the veto maybe being used or not. James lies to her and says they haven’t made any decisions yet. Audrey asks if he would use it? James lies and says no. He asks Audrey if she’s worried, and Audrey says no. James thinks Audrey is crazy. You should never feel too safe in this game.
Shelli is having a hard time with all this drama. She starts crying, and Clay comforts her. Shelli feels betrayal after putting her neck out on the line for her, and has given her loyalty. Shelli says she just wants to make the right choice. Clay reassures her if she doesn’t feel comfortable backdooring Audrey, don’t do it. He’ll make sure she goes next week if he wins HOH.
Time for the veto comp. It’s called “Saved by the Smell.” Steve is hosting! Jason says he see’s his Jessie, Kelly, a few Screeches, but where’s his Zach Morris? Austin says watching Steve in his lab coat makes him want to push him into lockers. Welcome to BBside High! The comp goes like this: They will be mixing chemicals to make flavors. Steve calls out this flavor then a sequence of colors flashes on a screen. They are then given a “pop quiz” and asked a question like What was the color after blue? They find the color tube and put it into their beakers. If they get the right color, nothing happens. If they get the wrong color, a big explosion happens. James was out 1st, followed by Shelli (who threw the comp,) 3rd was Meg and 4th was Jason and Johnny Mac. Vanessa won the veto! Vanessa was excited. She wanted to be part of deciding on what to do with the veto. Shelli was happy because now they all can decide what’s best. Jason is going to try and convince Vanessa to use it on him because against Johnny Mac, he doesn’t have a chance.
Clay is working out with Austin in the backyard. Austin asks Clay’s advice on Liz. Audrey comes out and sits down. Clay is just done with her. She gives the whole everyone has someone speech again, and she’s had her back against the wall since week 1. She even sheds a few tears. Clay tells her everytime someone trusts her she does something dirty to them. Then she loses that person’s trust. He tells her Shelli has stood by her, and put her game on the line. He brings up a previous conversation. The one where Audrey asks him to promise on his life she’s not going up as a replacement nominee. Audrey denies saying it. Clay gets pissed. Audrey says Clay has a “type A personality,” and by “A” she means Ass. Clay eventually has to walk away.
Angry Clay runs up to the HOH room where Shelli, and Vanessa are hanging out. He tells them about his argument with Audrey, but Audrey is right behind him. She walks in and sits down. She tells them her feelings are hurt. Shelli says she gives Audrey her trust, but Audrey doesn’t trust them. (Clay/Shelli) Shelli gets offended when Audrey says they don’t put themselves in her shoes. Clay calls Audrey a liar, and Audrey says when all this is over he’s going to feel stupid. Clay says he’ll take that risk. Clay tells her, her words mean sh–! Clay walks out. Audrey then tells Vanessa she’s an amazing manipulator, and she set Jeff up. Vanessa says Austin wanted Jeff gone, but Vanessa kept telling him she had no reason. Give her a reason, and she will. It was a big pile of you know what. Audrey shed real tears, but she kept it together for the most part.
Audrey gets depressed, and down on herself. She’s disappointed in herself, and she sees no reason to be around the other houseguests. She goes to bed. (She actually spent over 5 hours in the DR that day, and she’s been depressed since Monday.)
Finally, it’s time for the veto meeting. Vanessa says Audrey has chosen not to participate in the veto meeting, but it will go on without her. She gives Jason/Johnny Mac a chance to tell her why she should save them. Jason says this is his dream. Please don’t end his dream. Johnny Mac just says the best kind of veto, is a veto used on him. Vanessa uses the veto on Jason. Shelli gets up and says they are all there to play a game. She’s given this person chances. She chose Audrey as the replacement nominee. Vanessa feels bad Audrey is so distraught. Shelli feels bad for Audrey. Johnny Mac says he’s going to do nothing, but participate on “The Whackstreet Boys.”
So, who will go home? Audrey or Johnny Mac? 4th eviction has almost arrived.
