There may be some new faces joining the season 6 cast of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” if producers have their way.

Season 6 is currently under production, but according to a new report, RHOBH producers are “scrambling” after being let down by pop star Cody Simpson‘s mom, Angie, who declined an offer to join the cast. Angie Simpson was very close to signing a contract, “but ultimately decided not to. Producers were left in the lurch because they were confident that Angie would be on board.”

This decision placed the producers in a desperate situation — forcing them to re-hire, previous cast member Taylor Armstrong. At the eleventh hour, RHOBH producers extended an offer to Taylor Armstrong. “She was moving back to Southern California from Colorado with new husband, John Bluher, and so it worked out. She definitely wasn’t a first choice, or even third,” a source told Radar.

When the reality series debut in 2010, Taylor was part of the original cast. Then 2 seasons after the death of her ex, Russell Armstrong, she moved to Colorado and remarried, John Bluher. Taylor exited the show two years ago but has always expressed a firm interest to return. Now that she is moving back to Beverly Hills, the return to the show seems like a natural fit.

In addition to Taylor, producers desire to add “two more very glamorous, wealthy women that will stir up the drama on the show,” the insider added.

So big changes in store for season 6 of RHOBH — series alum, Taylor Armstrong is back, Yolanda Foster’s illness will diminish her participation, Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville are fired and new cast members are expected to join. Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Eileen Davidson and Lisa Rinna are all confirmed to return.
