Shannon Beador Talks Olive Branch to Meghan and Dishes on Her Relationship with David
Shannon Beador, star of “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” has a lot misread “codes” going on this week. Not only was the olive branch she handed to Meghan Edmonds met with snarky skepticism on proving oneself, Shannon misunderstands David’s reporting of an encounter with another woman, because, bless his heart, for the rest of his life he will have to disclose every accidental encounter with the opposite sex. Shannon wrote,
“We shouldn’t focus on petty things—which brings to me to my phone call with Meghan in this episode. The party is over and I am done discussing an issue that Meghan wants to be much bigger than it is.”
We interrupt this paragraph to give an overwhelming, “You are so right!” to Shannon. This is a non-issue on a non-subject. Please continue Shannon.
“I thought it was a perfect opportunity to “extend the olive branch” and show my willingness to move on by inviting Meghan to bunco. I was put off by the way Meghan was speaking to me, but I did my best to stay positive. When she told me to “prove myself” to her, it didn’t sit well with me. I am not going to beg anyone to come to a party I am hosting, certainly not Meghan. I was offended that she thought that my wine donation was a “wedge” or “dig” at her. There was no manipulation behind it.”
Shannon has been playing bunco for 15 years – and – #newsflash Meghan, it’s not just for old people in Mississippi, but the scene before the bunco party hit a nerve for Shannon more than Meghan and a root canal.
“Prior to the bunco, one of my best friends came over to help me get ready. David had just come home moments earlier and started telling me how he ran into a girl. It didn’t make sense to me and I thought he was talking “in code” to let me know he had seen his affair. You can see the shock in my eyes. He did not run into her. When that day comes, I am sure it may bring up certain emotions, but that was the past. I trust in the bond I have forged with David in the last year and I know he is committed to me.”
Whew! That’s good, but I can’t wait for the reunion show and the questions that will come from Andy to Shannon and David. Here is a possible preview of what we might hear.
“David and I have made a lot of positive progress up to this episode, but you hear me talk about a bump in that progress tonight. When infidelity happens over the course of months, it isn’t possible to know everything that happened during that time period. The end result, however, is what is most important. If I happen to realize a lie that was told to me during the affair, David affirms his love for me and I feel his remorse. That is communication. That is moving forward. That is love.”
Shannon closes her blog with her thoughts on Vicki’s heartbreak.
“I am devastated for my friend Vicki. She had just spoken to her mother that morning and she told Vicki that her blood work was normal and she was going to be around for a long time. To learn such shocking and tragic news is difficult enough, but to do it while being filmed is unimaginable. I know that Vicki’s mother is watching over her and giving her lots of light. I wish there was something I could do to take away the pain…”
