bb17 episode 4

Lots of drama tonight on Big Brother which was elegantly edited. Good job BB production!

The episode starts off with the aftermath of the BOTB competition. Becky and Johnny Mac won ensuring their safety for the week. Becky and Johnny Mac celebrate a bit while Steve is ready to pull his hair out worrying. On Sunday’s episode a backdoor plan came together, but Steve’s right the only way to ensure your safety is to win the POV competition.

It’s a typical night in the BB house. Steve’s lifting weights, the other houseguests are just hanging out. All the sudden Jace comes running out of the house streaking naked through the backyard. Normally the other houseguests laugh and just play it off as a joke, however this did not happen. There was a bit of laughter, but mostly crickets. Austin worries about Jace because he is in an alliance with Jace, and everything Jace does will blowback on Austin putting his game in jeopardy. Maybe he should’ve thought of that before becoming his best friend! Austin brings up to Jace he’s noticing rumblings in the house people are getting annoyed with Jace’s antics. He’s basically a kid who forgot his ADHD meds when locked in his room without any interactions for a few hours. He’s so unpredictable. Austin suggests Jace go speak with James, who is now the sole HOH.

Upon entering the HOH room, Jace sees Audrey, James and Jason hanging out. Jace goes in for the kill with the help of Austin proposing an alliance with the 5 of them called “cloudtown.” No one’s really going to have a real alliance with either Jace or Austin at this point because Jace is the backdoor target, and Austin is attached to Jace at the hip. Audrey even throws out Jason’s name (who left the HOH room) as a good backdoor target. Don’t worry, she only did it to throw Jace off the backdoor trail. Jason is safe. Jace tells James to pick an easy target so he doesn’t get blood on his hands. James responds with “I’m from Texas, I love blood.” Alrighty then James. Noted.

Now for the drama. Da’vonne was going around counting things just in case she needed them for a future competition. She walks into one of the bedrooms passing Jeff/Clay/Shelli. Clay/Shelli thought Da’vonne was doing something weird and told Jeff to pretend to go into the room for hair gel. Jeff does this and then asks Da’vonne what she’s doing in HIS room. Oh no don’t piss off Da’vonne. This starts an argument between Da’vonne and Jeff. Da’vonne retreats to the HOH room, and Jeff feels like he needs to do some damage control. Wrong move. He just pisses her off more, and it starts snowballing from a very simple argument into this HUGE argument! I do, however love Da’vonne’s DR’s. She says what’s on her mind. No questions asked. Jeff runs to the Storage Room and tells Clay that Da’vonne was acting like “a bitch” and “a puppet master.” Clay runs up to see what’s going on, but that too ends pretty badly. Clay tells her she has such a negative attitude and storms out. Da’vonne stays in the HOH room and gets pretty emotional with Audrey about the whole situation. Basically Jeff/Clay are blaming Da’vonne because of their paranoia. Can’t keep up? Neither can I. It started out really small and ended up with Da’vonne crying, Jeff calling her a bitch, and who knows why Clay even jumped into this anyways. So, Audrey goes down and talks to Clay about apologizing to Da’vonne (not because she cares, but because she’s afraid it will bust up one of her 50 alliances in the house.) Da’vonne knows Clay wasn’t sincere with his apology and Audrey sent him up there. She knows Audrey’s manipulation game, and she’s not impressed.

A new alliance is coming together. It’s The Bomb Squad rip off alliance. (BB16 reference) Audrey, Jason, and James are in the HOH room trying to figure out numbers and votes. Audrey starts running around pulling people out of bed to join this alliance. The alliance includes Audrey, Jason, James, Shelli, Jeff, Clay, and Meg. How long are you giving this alliance? Here’s a tip for future BB players- Alliances bigger than 4 never work. Too many personalities, and egos always ruin it. Jeff wasn’t very happy with Audrey pulling him out of bed not because he was sleeping. He was just spitting some game and cuddling with Meg.  (New showmance?) He called Audrey “the biggest sketchball in the World.”

Now onto the POV competition. Becky, Jason, James, Steve, Jackie, John were chosen to play. The competition was called “Nosa Socia” They had to dig out letters from a nose and make a word. Each letter had a different point value. The houseguest who spelled the word with the most ponts wins the Power of Veto. James spelled “Lifeguards,” Becky spelled “closest,” Jason spelled “Zone,” Steve spelled “Trombonist,” and John spelled “boogers.” It came down to James and Steve. Steve won the POV! We also found out a little tidbit about Steve: He actually plays the Trombone!

After all that’s said and done the episode comes to a close. It’s time for the Veto Ceremony. Steve, of course, uses the veto on himself. James says he’s looking out for himself and puts Jace up in his place. The plan has been carried out successfully! It’s now Jace vs. Jackie. Will Jace be able to flip the votes and save himself?

Tomorrow night is the live first eviction! The twin twist will be revealed (if you’ve watched the feeds you know who the twins are,) and Kathy Griffin is the next BB Takeover guest! That should be interesting!
