RECAP: #BigBrother17 — The Second Group Moves In and More Twist Revealed [Episode 2]

We met the final six houseguests, a new twist was revealed, and an HOH comp took place. A jam packed night.

Liz is a Capricorn so look out ya’ll! She says she has no filter, and she hates jealous girls. Next there’s Jason, the grocery store employee who has the awesome accent. I could listen to him all day! He says he stocks groceries, and lives in his mom’s basement. He also claims to be shallow, and he’s “a superfan.” Ok. Those work out well. Vanessa, the professional poker player from Vegas is someone to really watch. She’s a gamer. She’s won $4.5 Million Dollars playing professional poker. She says she’s good at Math, and reading people. John is a dentist/rockstar. He says he went into dentistry not to help people, he just wanted to make money. He has a hard time with relationships because he meets a lot of gold diggers, but he’s open to a showmance. Becky is going to be the sweetheart. She’s girl next door type. She was raised loving the outdoors, but she says she can use her sweetness to manipulate the right person. Steve is the awkward nerdy guy. He admits he’s probably the guy you cheated off in high school, and he’s wanted to be on “Big Brother” since 4th grade.

Before they even enter the house, Julie tells them there are already houseguests in the house playing the game. She reveals 2 twists – Battle of the Block and The BB Takeover. The first 3 who enter are Liz, Becky and Steve. Let the screaming begin! Steve goes to Meg and introduces himself which turns out to be nothing but awkward. Liz starts drooling over Clay. “Clay is a 10/10.” Looks like there will be some competition with the girls. Who will win the position of Clay’s showmance? Last three who enter- Jason, John and Vanessa. Jason will be the houseguest who tries way too hard to entertain. I hope he’s not like Frankie from last year. That will just annoy all the feeders. Vanessa goes straight to work. She asks who won the first HOH. 

After everyone mingles, they all sit at the table and do introductions. Need-to-know Info: John likes to be called Johnny Mack, Liz broke up with her boyfriend right before entering the BB house, Vanessa lied about her occupation. (Told them she’s a DJ), Da’vonne compared Jason to PeeWee Herman, Steve was compared to Ian Terry (bb14 winner), Audrey once again announces she’s transgender (accepted and applauded by the other houseguests), and Jason describes the women as “smoke bombs.” Jase also mentions 2 empty seats at the table, so they start guessing who might occupy those seats.

Time to give the houseguests their very first twist with the help of The Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan. There has been two couples from “Big Brother” who went on and competed on The Amazing Race (Brendon/Rachel and Jeff/Jordan) footage is shown of both couples. Jordan isn’t really known for being the smartest player, but she’s a sweetheart so all is forgiven. Then we see footage of Rachel/Brendon. Rachel spent alot of time on The Amazing Race having meltdowns. Luckily she’s a good competitor and there is a huge fan base of Brenchel supporters. The point of Phil’s visit is he’s giving back us. Jeff and Jackie were on last season’s Amazing Race and Julie describes their relationship as “passionate.” They are the first twist. (Of course this rumor has been going around for weeks so it’s not surprise to fans) Jeff describes their relationship as “friends.” Immediately upon entering the house both Da’vonne and Steve think they could be big targets because they knew eachother outside the house. Jeff says in his DR he wants to play the game solo, but he knows he has Jackie in his back pocket if he needs her. Good thinking, but he can’t think for very long because another HOH competition has to take place.

The HOH comp has the same name and theme as last night except these houseguests are going to be IN the movie. Vanessa volunteers to sit out of the comp like Da’vonne sat out last night. The basics of the comp is last houseguest hanging onto their stake while being slimed and avoid being “abducted by aliens” wins HOH! Jeff and Jackie have different ideas about how they should play the comp. Jeff knows if he stays a long time he’ll make himself a bigger target. Jackie is dying to win so she can get some power and ensure her safety. The Final two who hang on are Jason and Jackie. They make a deal, and Jason wins the second HOH position. (Their deal was Jason promised not to nominate Jackie)

Phil isn’t done with his twists just yet. As if our hearts can take anymore surprises tonight. He says Da’vonne and Vanessa volunteered to sit out of the HOH competition. He says it was risky but “with great risk comes great reward.” What a way to end the show. Keep not only the houseguests guessing but fans too!
