Free At Last! Ramona Singer’s Divorce Almost Final

According to Ramona Singer, star of “The Real Housewives of New York,” her divorce from Mario is almost final. Can I get an amen! Ramona had this to say about the toll this divorce has taken on her and thanks everyone for their understanding. Ramona wrote in her blog,

“At times Bethenny cries at a drop of the hat due to all the stress she’s under. I know the feeling as finalizing my divorce has been taking a toll on me emotionally. This is the reason I haven’t written a blog in a while. I appreciate everyone’s continued support and understanding. It means so much to me.”

Ramona and Mario were married for 22 years, but after gossip of his cheating ways leaked, along with photos, Ramona made the announcement to split last August on her Facebook page.

“I have decided to move on with my life without Mario. I tried my best to make my marriage work. I am excited for the new chapter in my life.” 

What’s next for Ramona? Dating and having fun, but not the dating and having fun like her BFF Sonja, who prefers the “cougar life.” Ramona is only interested in men closer to her own age.

“I’m having fun with it,” Ramona says. “For me, I like more age appropriate [men]. I date people in their fifties. People who have been married before. People who have children who are older, in college, because that way I can relate more. That way if it does work out, it’s something that can be.”

And for any man who might have a preconceived notion of what Ramona is like based on the reality show, she was words for you.

“I don’t want them to have any kind of pre-judged opinion of me,” she says. “I’m proud of what I do but I don’t want to be judged for what I do because it can be taken out of context.”
