Kristen Taekman Wants to Know: “Why is Bethenny Bad-Mouthing My Business?”
Kristen Taekman has embarked on a new, and colorful business. “The Real Housewives of New York“ star introduced her new line of nail polish to viewers last night. A Skinnygirl brand summit was also highlighted, and the stage for a clash of business egos was set.
Business mogul Bethenny Frankel made a snarky remark, Carole blabbed, and Kristen called foul in protest. She took to her blog to explain her position, and how she felt slighted by Frankel. She begins by expressing admiration for Bethenny’s business prowess.
“Bethenny’s brand summit! Wow! I I would have loved to have been there. It seems like one could have learned a lot! This is a perfect opportunity for Sonja–it’s great for her to see what her business could aspire to be! Damn I can’t believe how big Skinnygirl has become! I can only dream that Pop of Color will grow to be that big one day!”
Kristen explains the backstory of her new product.
“I’m thrilled to announce that I started a nail polish line called POP OF COLOR! Josh recently had a meeting with Ricky’s NYC who have been selling Eboost in their stores for years. My name came up and Josh came home and asked if I wanted to do a nail polish line! It’s crazy how some things happen. The truth is that I love nail polish, I love the name Pop of Color, and, well, here we are at our first meeting with Ricky’s. I decided to ask Carole to sit in with us as I figured she could help me name some of the polishes!”
Kristen shares her feelings about the spat with Bethenny, letting her blabbermouth pal Carole, off the hook.
“When Carole shares a small but mighty piece of information with me…I just can’t hold it in any longer. Enough with beating around the damn bush with Bethenny! Why on earth is she bad-mouthing my business? The name is trademarked, thank-you-very-much! I felt that I should just confront Bethenny myself. Seriously, what’s the deal here? You barely speak to me to my face, but yet you have plenty to say behind my back? I really just don’t get it at all. And once I do approach her, she just dismisses me rudely and walks away! I have made the conscious decision that I don’t need any more friends!”
I think Bethenny will be good with that!
