When the Vanity Fair issue of “Call Me Caitlyn” hits stands on June 9, the article will be 22 pages long, written by the author of “Friday Night Lights” Buzz Bissinger. The two reportedly spent hundred of hours detailing her transition from Bruce to Caitlyn.
In the article, Bissinger writes about the conflicting versions of events between Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner.
“Neither side wants to appear rancorous but the two sides agree on virtually nothing.”
In the Diane Sawyer interview, Bruce said that he had been taking hormones for five years, and though he decided to stop, had a “good solid B cup” when the two met. Kris is claiming this isn’t’ true and that when they met Bruce only had a “little bit of a man boob” situation going on. Who is telling the truth? Perception is the ability to process information. Perhaps Kris simply can’t process Caitlyn’s truth.
Kris’ version to Bissinger was,
“He told me he had done hormones back in the early 80s … He never really explained it. There wasn’t a gender issue. Nobody mentioned a gender issue. Somebody mentioned that at one point in his life liked to dress up.” Kris refutes reports that she ever saw Bruce cross-dressing.
Caitlyn said that when it came to sharing his feelings to Kris about gender identity, he didn’t fully explain himself.
“Probably a mistake I made was maybe not having her understand … this is a condition that you cannot get away from.”
One of Caitlyn’s older son’s, Burt Jenner, had this to say about the future.
“I have high hopes that Caitlyn is a better person than Bruce.” He added, “I’m very much looking forward to that.”
