Lisa Vanderpump: Brandi Glanville Validated Kim’s Negative Feelings Towards Her Sister To Undermine Kyle

I love Lisa Vanderpump but she is going to have to hire a new ghostwriter, one who isn’t practicing for the SATs while blogging! The writer uses language we never hear Lisa use. While the words don’t feel like her own, the sentiment sure does and I love it:

“I think upon reflection, it has been pretty obvious after months of filming the intent of some to insert themselves into an already fractious situation. Kim obviously felt bolstered by BG, much to her detriment, as she became a victim of her own volatility. I doubt since filming has wrapped whether there has been much interaction between BG and Kim. It would surprise me greatly if this supposedly close relationship is still flourishing.”

BG? I love how Lisa Vanderpump never uses her name, any more. You know she is honestly and truly done with Brandi. Am I the only one who thought Brandi was making her big escape after Kim went off on Kyle and faulted poor Alexia for being bitten by Kingsley? Hours of belittling the other wives, calling them “crazy” and hypocrites, and she’s suddenly washed her hands?  Brandi is practically chewing her leg off to escape the trap she laid. Kim’s threats to expose Kyle’s children were over the top. If that’s the kind of volatility Lady Vanderpump is referencing, I completely agree. I think Brandi definitely made a bad situation worse and Kim felt emboldened by the support from her “friend.” I, too, would be shocked if these two women are still friends.  Somehow, I’m sure it will be Kyle’s fault, in Kim’s eyes, if her buddy BG dumps her.

“There’s not a lot to say that hasn’t been said, really, but what concerned me this season was the manipulative attempt by BG to undermine Kyle and to validate any negativity that Kim was feeling, salaciously stating what a  wonderful friend she was and how totally unsupportive Kyle has been.”

Lady Vanderpump hits the proverbial nail on its proverbial head. How often did we hear Brandi tell Kim that her sister was never really there for her? Help me figure out if I’ve made this up. I thought that somewhere in the first or second seasons we heard that Kyle and Mauricio spent so much time helping Kim that Mauricio felt as if he had two wives. I think that Lisa remembers it, too, as she writes:

“I don’t believe the years of dealing with a sibling struggling with alcoholism, supporting financially when needed, should be ignored–also the emotional toll it must have taken on the family.”

Lisa is taking no prisoners and I hope the other wives are paying attention:

“Also in this final segment, it baffles me once again as to the arrogance as to state what is off limits. How many scenarios can we excuse? Dogs? Children? House? Sobriety? Our business became your business when we  entered into your living room. We should strive for transparency, and we should deal with consequences as we profit from the benefits.”

Kim and Brandi both want privacy about some aspect of their lives, but put the other wives’ business out on the Bravo streets.

“I have grown close to Lisa and Eileen and enjoyed them immensely, not always understanding Lisa’s actions, but always believing it came from a place of concern, even if sometimes, like in regard to the text she sent, it  was a little impulsive. Her anger got the better of her, and for that, I believe she was sorry. I am not making excuses for her, but I am resolute in the belief that provocation sometimes creates a day of reckoning.”

If the RHOBH timeline is any indication, most of the audience agrees with her about Lisa Rinna, Eileen, and the hot mess around the text messages.

“So that is what I hope for this season, that the devious trifling is never rewarded by the success in the breakdown of any relationship. Last year, as I sat on my own, aghast at what had transpired, I hoped for a clearer  picture, and now I have one, as I think you all do.”

Anyone who thought this reunion would vindicate Brandi had probably skipped watching the actual footage. I agree with Lisa… things are painfully clear.

“Lastly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of you, who have sent messages of love and well wishes in what has proved to be a trying week. The surgery has been a reminder of how sometimes the indomitable support  of those close to you is so valuable, and I appreciate it tremendously. My children by my side, friends, and family are the icing on the cake. Thank you to you all. Ken is doing much better and is well on the way to full  recovery.”

The best of luck to Ken, Lisa, and their lovely family as they move forward. Here’s to a healthier, happier 2015!
