Sneak Peek: The Walking Dead “Spend” [VIDEO]
On last week’s episode of “The Walking Dead,” the survivors adapt to ‘normal’ life in Alexandria and even featured a menacing Carol baking cookies, stealing guns and threatening a child.
Life in Alexandria is almost normal for now. On tonight’s episode, “Spend,” Rick & co. face challenges despite being inside the gates. Rightfully, they continue to remain on guard and not allow themselves to be lured into a false sense of security.
Interesting tidbit about tonight’s episode entitled, “Spend.” It appears to be a brief invitation down memory lane. In season one, Dale told the group a William Faulkner story:
“I like what the father said to the son when he gave him a watch that had been handed down through generations. He said: ‘I give you a mausoleum of all hope and desire which will fit your individual needs, no better than it did mine and my father before me. I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you may forget it. For a moment, now and then, and notspend all of your breath trying to conquer it.”
Food for thought…

I’m an exasperated soap fan who keeps hanging on – waiting for the daytime I once loved to return to its former glory! Hey, it doesn’t hurt to have a dream. I learned to love soaps thanks to my wonderful mother and grandmother. I’ll always have fond memories of daytime, most especially of ‘Another World’, my first stoap love. The ever great, but sadly defunct, daytime shows like Ryan’s Hope, Search for Tomorrow, The Doctors, Loving, and many others keep a special place in my heart, as well.
