Do you remember former “Real Housewives of Orange County,” star Lydia McLaughlin?
Just to refresh your memory, Lydia appeared on the RHOC during season 8 as a friend of Alexis Bellino then quickly turned on Alexis to support mean girls, Tamra Barney and Vicki Gunvalson. Lydia presented herself as a devout Christian but viewers couldn’t tell by her contradictory actions. One couple in particular she clashed with was Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley. During season 8, Lydia waged war against Slade when he sniped about her anorexic body image. But in her upcoming book, “Beyond Orange County: A Housewives Guide To Faith & Happiness,” McLaughlin reveals she is now at peace with the contentious couple,
“During filming I mostly argued with Gretchen and Slade but Doug and I have gone on double dates with them once we stopped filming, and consider them true friends!”
It appears Lydia has returned to her Christian virtues again, so much so, she pays acknowledgements to Alexis, Jim, Gretchen, and Slade in her Christian advice book.
“I am thankful for the friendships with Alexis, Jim, Gretchen, and Slade that continue to grow.”
After abruptly quitting the RHOC during the filming of season 9, Lydia and her hubby, Doug, welcomed their third child, a son named Roman Scott in November 2014.
Do you believe Lydia is genuine or is this a marketing scheme to promote her book? Sound off in the comments.
