Kenya Moore is often accused of being a shade thrower — a drama lover — and she boasts hands down the BEST talking heads, on the hit reality series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” When she was seen waving a sceptre around during last season’s reunion show, the word ‘crazy’ was even thrown around. However, crazy can be a term used loosely, even affectionately, or a true palpable reality, and Moore is currently mixed up in a dispute with a woman who brings the word “crazy” to a whole new level.
Janet Hubert, most widely known as the fired and replaced “Aunt Viv” on the “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” has a beef with Moore. Hubert is accusing Kenya of withholding payment for appearing on a pilot that Kenya produced, entitled “Life Twirls On.”
We reported back in November that Kenya was filming “Life Twirls On” which is loosely based on her life and holding open casting calls. On November 11, the former Miss USA announced on social media the open casting call in a post on Instagram, “I’m getting married!!! If you want to be an extra in my TV show tomorrow 12-5 in Jonesboro, Ga please email email@example.com need to be in formal wear looking fabulous all races. No children.”
Things went down hill when Hubert refused to sign a form allowing her to be filmed for the RHOA, where the development of the series has been a part of Moore’s story line. According to Hubert, she declined because the show is “quite demeaning to Black women.” As a result, Hubert claims Kenya is refusing to pay her so Hubert is angry and blasting her loony and mildly disturbing discontent with Moore all over social media. Her initial Facebook rant reads:
“Many thanks for all the likes. For Blacktors and Blacktresses everywhere…beware the new Reality TV Scam. Obtaining SAG contracts to promote their own story lines. I was used…beware Reality TV personalities! And all extras, when they want to pay you 10.00 an hour as they tried to do with me. Lost time sheets…Please share and beware!”
A few days later, Hubert followed up with:
“For all the actors that appeared on the Kenya Moore so called pilot, don’t feel bad she fooled us all, and used the wonderful Winsome Sinclair to cast this mess. My advice to you all next time never sign the release that Bravo tried to get me to sign. Only sign what you are supposed to and that is what is related to the union contract. These reality shows are not governed by unions. That is why they can get away with the stuff they get away with. It is like a freak show, do not be fooled by it. They will ask you to sign your life away…don’t do it.”
“I was in Kenya’s corner, I simply don’t understand someone who can turn on you like this. Last time I worked with someone this evil was on Fresh Prince. No more black shows for me.”
Hubert’s crazy train didn’t stop there, to really drive home her point, she created a disturbing video impersonating Kenya. Take a look below:
WHY would Kenya be attracted to such a seemingly unstable character, and WHY in the world would the way Hubert is addressing her claims of an alleged wrongdoing, be considered anything other than something to gawk at in frightened amusement? YIKES!!
