Gia Giudice “Playing Mother” To Her Siblings While Jailbird Teresa Serves Prison Sentence

Gia Giudice, daughter of felon and star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” has been filling big shoes in the Giudice household since her mother’s incarceration on January 5.

New reports are surfacing that Gia Giudice, 14, is stepping up in a major way to take care of her three younger sisters, Gabriella, (10), Milania, (8) and Audrianna (5) while their mother’s serving her 15-month sentence at FCI-Danbury.

An insider tells InTouch Weekly,

“Gia is stepping into the mother role. It comes naturally since even when Teresa was around, Gia was frequently responsible for disciplining her siblings.”

The insider also dished that Gia has always had,

“More of a friendship than a mother-daughter relationship” with Teresa. And the word so far on dad, Joe Giudice — the brains behind their new reality — is that he’s “Trying his hardest to do what’s best for his daughters.”

This is going to be a “character building” year for Gia. It’s like being on a dance team that loses every tournament. The upside is you learn how bad you want something. Maybe Gia will learn how badly she wants to be in 3KT. Maybe she’ll learn becoming the family lawyer is a better path. Just think if Teresa had experienced a year like Gia, oh how different life would be!

No one would disagree with that. But tell us what you think. Is there a chance that Gia could benefit from her grim circumstances? Or will this scar the Giudice children forever?
