Just for clarification, by work I mean not with a film crew. If you’ve seen “Orange Is the New Black” you know it’s possible that she can be placed to work in the laundry room, plumbing crew, landscaping team, or if they want to use Teresa’s one and only talent, put her in the kitchen. Her attorney, James Leonard told E! News:
“She indicated that if she had her choice to work she would like to work in the kitchen facility because she’s obviously a good cook.”
According to the Bureau of Prisons, while incarnated, Teresa will earn anywhere from 12¢ to 40¢ per hour and must put 50% toward the her $414,588 restitution tab she has to pay as a condition of pleading guilty. So let’s do the math. The median money per hour is 26¢. Multiply by 40 hours and you have $10.40 per week. Her take home pay is $5.20. In 15 months, Teresa will have amassed $197.60. Not a lot of meatballs to pay for the good life!
