Dare we say it, but this season of “Celebrity Apprentice,” might be the best season ever. The women and men are type A – B-listers that are equally assertive, and equally annoying. Two of the fan favorites are “Housewives,” Kenya Moore and Brandi Glanville.
The other women on the show are TV host Leeza Gibbons (recently on RHOBH), actress Vivica Fox, gold medalist Shawn Johnson, actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson, and mega-mom Kate Gosselin.
During the women’s first task – making celebrity pie – conflict between Brandi and Kenya arises when they smash pies into each other’s faces. Brandi was too busy yapping, turned her back, and that’s when Kenya struck. In the boardroom, when the word “evil” is tossed about between these two women, the Donald does not look impressed.
Over at the men’s camp, the discussion is about choosing a team name. Talk show host, Geraldo Rivera, suggests Team Vortex AKA Bang, Bang, but the group wants to write it down and take their time making this decision. Musician Kevin Jonas, seems to be totally annoyed by Geraldo. Yay! The suggestion of Team Velocity (pronounced Vel-oc-ity) came up, but Geraldo didn’t like the overuse of syllables.
The other men are on the team are NFL athlete Terrell Owens, Deadliest Catch Sig Hansen, actor Lorenzo Lamas, actor Ian Ziering (should have pushed for the name Team Sharknado), world-series winner Johnny Damon (Boston probably won’t root for him), and comedian Gilbert Gottfried.
Besides the great cast, another reason to tune in Sunday night is for the tribute to Joan Rivers. Winner of Celebrity Apprentice 2009 at the age of 75, she will appear in two episodes as a mentor. Celebrity Apprentice’s permanent NBC time slot will be on Monday nights.
