As Teresa Giudice fans continue to come to grips with the prison sentence of their beloved “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, a new report has surfaced that the stress is starting to affect her marriage.

According to US Magazine, the marriage is in crisis. A source tells the tabloid:

“Teresa and Joe’s emotional connection is fading,” a family insider tells Us Weekly. “Resentment is creeping in. There is an icy distance.”

Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison and her husband, Joe received a 3.5 years prison sentence. Teresa must report to Danbury Federal Prison on Jan. 5th and the judge was gracious to allow Teresa to serve her sentence first, allowing Joe to stay home with their four girls. With prison looming, Teresa’s main concern is the care for her four girls while she’s serving her 15-month prison term.

It appears, Teresa operates like a single parent with no help from her husband, Joe. In a recent interview, Wendy Feldman, seemingly supports that sentiment:

“She is a good mother and the sole caregiver. But she needs to get real, humble and honest.”

The US Magazine source seems to back up the claim also:

“The Real Housewife expects him to step up and learn the girls’ schedules,” the insider notes. “But he hasn’t shown interest.” And if she complains, the source adds, “Joe says Teresa is nagging.”

Do you think it’s wise for Teresa to leave the kids in the care of Joe while she’s in prison? Joe has publicly admitted to having a drinking problem. Tell us what you think. Sound off in the comments.
