Couples Therapy

We join Jenna and John who are still rehashing the meaning of “condescending.” John told Jenna last episode that her attitude toward Dr. Jenn was condescending, and Jenna cannot let this go. She wants John to get a dictionary, but he is using the term correctly. These two definitely deserve to be on “Couples Therapy.”

The following morning the group wakes up and does their thing like work out, eat breakfast, talk with other cast members. Juan Pablo is confused by this Jenna that is with them. This Jenna no longer has big boobs and both arms are covered in tattoos compared to the other Jenna he remembers. Nikki is in a bad mood because there are cameras everywhere. Wasn’t she aware of this before coming onto the show?

Yay! It’s time for group therapy. Today’s topic is fidelity and trust. Dr. Jenn asks Jenna to go first. Jenna says that every relationship she’s had, her partner has cheated. (But when she cheats it’s just a day job?) She said that if it were up to her she would eliminate social media. Deena says that if she sees something on social media that would hurt Chris’ feelings, she deletes it. Treach says that he doesn’t delete anything, he just says thanks for the compliment. Cicely explains that it’s difficult to see pictures on social media that Treach has taken with other women because he always stops for a camera.

Juan Pablo tries to talk about deleting social media, but Nikki brings up an event in Las Vegas that JP was going to and didn’t tell her about. She found out from a friend that he was attending a bachelorette party. Treach sticks up for JP because it’s not his fault how they market it. That is so not the point. Nikki and Cicely are no longer allowed to go to these events because supposedly they can’t handle it. Evel Dick explains it’s easier to leave the women at home then bring them along so they can make everyone miserable. Don’t be a dick, Dick.

Dr. Jenn says that Jenna is in the same spot of having to go to events and has learned how to handle it. Jenna claims she’s an expert at juggling. (And she has the videos to prove it-lol.) While Dr. Jenn is making an important point, Juan Pablo says something to Nikki. Nikki shushes him. The room goes quiet. Dr. Jenn calls it intense. It takes Dr. Mike to point out that Cicely’s and Nikki’s feelings were hurt and they need to be heard by their men. After group, JP wants to hug it out with Nikki, but she wants none of it.

Nikki and Stephanie are discussing Nikki’s frustration. Juan Pablo sits down and receives a mega cold shoulder from Nikki. He asks if it’s okay that he join them. Nikki says only if he doesn’t attract the cameras. Never mind that they are mounted everywhere and aren’t just on the shoulders of the cameramen. JP gets up and leaves. Stephanie doesn’t understand why Nikki agreed to be on the show. In their room, Nikki tells Juan Pablo that she is getting stir crazy and this is harder than she thought it would be.

In the kitchen, Treach and John are discussing that women are always checking up on their men trying to catch them in the act of something. Jenna and Cicely say they only did it when they knew their partners were cheating. Like when Treach’s friend told Cicely that Treach was cheating. That’s why she searched his phone and computer and clothes and whatever else she could find. Treach says that Cicely is the Yoko Ono of their group and this man was trying to break them up to get rid of her. Treach begins to read Cicely about the betrayal when Jenna tells Treach he comes across as scary. Cicely and Jenna will be friends for life.

Outside, Deena is telling Stephanie and Dick and Cicely and Treach that she trusts Chris everywhere except Atlantic City. Deena doesn’t like how he drives, parties, then drives home in the same night. Treach says the solution is to get a room. Deena says she’s made this suggestion. From a distance we hear Chris say, “What?!” He’s working out nearby, but stops to call Deena out. Apparently this wasn’t the suggestion she made. Cicely points out that Deena’s real issue is with boys’ night and if she trusts Chris—which Deena says she does—she should let him go. Treach has an epiphany: women are different than men. Way to go, Treach! That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for nobody.

Juan Pablo is in his room being privately interviewed saying, blabbity, blah, blah. Nikki can suddenly be heard in the bathroom. JP asks if she’s going to be a while. She comes into the bedroom and asks if he’s going to be another three f*cking hours. The producer explains that it’s her fault, not his. Nikki tells the producer that she can f*cking wrap it up. (Scratching head why she got the final rose.) Nikki says she’s done with this and JP says this is what he has to deal with.

Moving on, Dr. Jenn calls Juan Pablo in for a private session and asks about the tension between he and Nikki. JP explains that it’s not tension, but Nikki’s frustration with the cameras. Having said that, he is embarrassed by the way she is acting. Dr. Jenn gets that this is intense and that Nikki doesn’t handle stress well. Her advice is the next time Nikki lashes out that Juan Pablo listen then reflect back what he heard. Caution: Land mines ahead! JP goes to find Nikki so that he might listen. She’s outside talking with Evel Dick. As soon as JP sits down, she gets up and leaves. Can these two be voted off?

Dr. Jenn calls Nikki in for a private session and asks how she’s holding up. Nikki admits to being frustrated with the cameras and that she was rude to the producer, but waters down her exact words. Dr. Jenn tells her the exact words and scolds her. Nikki shrugs. Dr. Jenn says we don’t get to pick our feelings, but we do get to pick our behaviors. In other words Nikki: Get over yourself! Nikki says that she has come to realize that she’s a private person. Why didn’t she learn this on The Bachelor? Dr. Jenn asks that she forget about the cameras and go talk with Juan Pablo and use sweet words. They hug it out.

After dinner, the couples break into two groups to hang out: men and women. The men talk about how women are always miscommunicating their words. The women are listening to Nikki bitch about the cameras, yet again, because it’s all about her. Jenna points out the obvious – she signed up for a show called “Couples Therapy.” Cicely thinks Nikki needs to put on her big girl panties. Deena says she should have thought about this more. Then Nikki tells the girls about being scolded for yelling at the producer. Jenna tells Nikki she has every right to tell the producer to s*ck a c*nt. Classy. Nikki has decided to go against Dr. Jenn’s advice and isn’t going to speak to Juan Pablo. So there.

The following morning, Dr. Jenn calls an emergency group meeting. She’s pissed. First up is Nikki. Nikki is using the cameras as an excuse not to do the work. Next up is Jenna. Jenna is sabotaging the work that Nikki and Juan Pablo are there to do and essentially telling Dr. Jenn and the therapeutic process to f*ck off. Jenna snidely replies, “You didn’t like that, did you?”
