Wow, she was amazing. She was sweet, and kind, and loving, and also brilliant! But she was also so very brave. To have come from where she was, and truly battled to stay alive… arrived in America with $5.00 in her pocket…..and then to revolutionize the fashion world by introducing “polyester” to the world……Oh my goodness, she was truly an incredible woman. I will miss her warm smile, and her wonderful sense of humor. Rest in Peace wonderful Edith Flagg. My condolences to her family and friends.

She was the highlight and the heart of MDL LA. We fans will also miss her. Thoughts and prayers to Josh and the family.

  • She was such an inspiration. We are a nation of immigrants and most of our families came here with nothing and built their success on hard work and determination. My condolences to the Flagg family. I will miss watching her on television so much.

What a remarkable woman. You could see the love in Josh’s eyes when they spoke. Hope her words of wisdom remain forever in Josh’s heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the Flagg family during this time of sadness.

  • I am deeply sorry to hear about the death of Edith. She was highly intelligent and soulful woman. May she RIP.

When I was a young girl (@8 or 9), a friend of my Mother dared me grab her hem and try to wrinkle it. ‘It’ being the latest in fabric technology. Wrinkling didn’t happen and I was completely fascinated. The designer of the garment was Edith Flagg.

RIP sweet lady. You inspired me.
