Lisa Vanderpump’s Villa Blanca Restaurant For Sale!

Posted on Jul 29 2014 - 4:07pm by Editor

According to Effie Magazine, Lisa and Ken Vanderpump have listed their upscale Beverly Hills eatery, Villa Blanca for sale. The business went on the market on July, 16th and is listed with Hilton & Hyland realtors.

Known as a paparazzi hot spot, celebrity sightings are common at Villa Blanca on any day of the week. The restaurant is located in the heart of Beverly Hills and appeared to be a high earner for the reality couple.

In the private listing, the sale is marketed as a “lease” versus a “sale.” For clarification, the business entity (Villa Blanca) is for sale, as is, with all the furnishings, liquor license and kitchen equipment. The purchaser will then have to lease the physical building from the land owner or landlord.

The Vanderpump’s have their hands full managing three restaurants. In addition to Villa Blanca, they co-own,  PUMP and SUR Lounge, both located in West Hollywood.

RHOBH is currently filming season 5 and I’m definite Bravo cameras will capture all the hoopla.

The power couple have owned numerous successful restaurants in the United States and Europe and are astute business people. Therefore, I’m confident the sale of Villa Blanca is a strategic business move.

    Very interesting….

  • WestCoastFeed

What happened? Have more Villa Blanca employees been sexually harassed by management? Or injured on the job? Has the help been behaving like employees instead of serfs?

Or did Giggy bite a VIP guest?

    • nan/4

One of the above HAS to be true, WCF! 😉

      • WestCoastFeed

More likely, all of the above

    • italiano bambino

Lol wcf you know some crazy shit went down..

      • WestCoastFeed

Maybe Ken and Lisa need to liquefy some assets to cover that estimated $700K they owe for that harassment suit.

  • TartLemon

IMO, it’s more a personal decision than for business. They aren’t able to keep up the pace to run all those businesses. I noticed the ones they want to keep are bars.

I’m still scratching my head. This place is a huge moneymaker for them, and wouldn’t they have managers to run it? I don’t know…..I’m confused by the sale.

      • WestCoastFeed

It may pay them huge salaries, but their accountant said the restaurant made only $60K last year, when he testified at the penalty phase of their harassment case.

        • nan/4

REALLY? I’m shocked! I’ve been there 3 times and the place is always very busy, but who knows???

          • That’s awesome, Nan! How as the food?

I was thinking about visiting one day but changed my mind after I see they serve the dogs at the same tables they do the patrons. I love dogs but that’s unsatisfactory.

            Say WHAT?? Ewwww…that’s so gross.

          • My thoughts exactly. I posted a pic in my comment above. Refresh your browser to view it.

          • Birdie11

That seems like it would be a health code violation…guess not. BLECH!! They are so weird about dogs…they remind me of a childless couple…which they obviously aren’t.

          • Exactly. There is nothing enduring about that pic. I am HUGE dog lover and would never allow my pets to do that. For a restaurant to do that with knowledge dog hair sheds and can get all the tablecloth and silverware is pretty irresponsible.

          • nan/4

Our dog must remain on the ground at all times, btw. Okey dokey…

            Have a good night! 🙂

          • Are you leaving us already?

          • nan/4

Time to make dinner here! I wish that I could stay. 🙁 This story really has me intrigued!

            Enjoy the reunion, Doc! 🙂

          • Okey dokey! Enjoy dinner! ♥

I’ll look for you tomorrow. Bye, hon.

          • Birdie11

I just turned on Mystery Diners…it’s about a restaurant that has a Fido Menu…for the dogs. Aaack!

          • nan/4

            That’s just not right!!!! Gross…

          • I don’t see how they would handle separate food preparations.

          • Birdie11

They are saying that they use the same meat…but they prepare and freeze it separately…bragging about it…lol

          • yeah…suuuuuure they do.

          • Oh that’s should be a good one.

          • nan/4

If this is the case, it most definitely would be a health code violation.

          • nan/4

Maybe that’s supposed to be funny? We have a service dog, and restaurants are VERY strict about enforcing the no pet policy. We usually have to produce a license before being seated anywhere and she wears a harness clearly marked “service dog.”

          • twifan2

I’d actually rather eat next to my dog, than be at the same table with Tre’s rug rats! 🙂

          • nan/4

Even if it’s not a “service dog” Doc?

          • That’s a totally different circumstance. Service dogs always get a pass. The dogs I’m referencing are pampered pooches. I’ll post a pic in my comment here. You may have to refresh your browser to view the pic of 3 dogs dining at Villa Blanca.

The food was very good, but not out of this world fabulous, in my opinion. When I was there Lisa’s daughter was a server, and worked her butt off too!

If Tamara Tattles is correct, Ken and Lisa are in the US on an “Investment Visa” which includes the requirement that they employ at least 50 US citizens in their workplace. So, they should be able to cut down to two workplaces and still meet that minimum number.

Lisa has told Rumor Fix that VB is not for sale. Oh, really? Then how did Hilton & Hylland happen to get a listing and advertise it?

    • Exactly. Or maybe it was for sale then pulled off the market.

      • WestCoastFeed

        Or Lisa is a liar.

        • EVERYBODY lies.

          • WestCoastFeed

And she really “merely signed with Hilton & Hylland to do a valuation.”

          • She’s a business woman who’s owned numerous successful restaurants….I don’t doubt her explanation.

          • WestCoastFeed

And the firm accidentally advertised it. Come on!
