Rosie O'Donnell

Honey!! Looks like a big announcement from ABC has finally come for season 18 of “The View.” The tweet read:

“It’s official!! ABC confirms Rosie O’Donnell returns as co-host of #THEVIEW w/moderator Whoopi Goldberg.”

I know we’ve all heard our individual stories and reports of what’s going on but I’m going to give it to you like it T-H-I-S.

While we all know Rosie has caused huge waves on “The View” from her fight with Elisabeth Hasselbeck to her leaving prior to the end of her contract. I read a report yesterday that said Rosie produced Babs (Barbara Walters) last show on “The View” and that was her “Welcome Back Rosie.” Was it? Did she produce it? It has also been reported that Rosie and executive producer, Bill Geddie have a tumultuous relationship (True). While Bill has been on the show as long as Barbara, personally I feel he should leave too. It’s only fitting!

In addition to all of this, cue Hassleback oops…I meant Hasselbeck. Clearly that brainless evil woman doesn’t see Rosie’s fan base extends as far back as ten plus years and “The View” needs those ratings back again if they intend on making it to season 19. “The View’s” ratings have gone down year after year and new (re-entered) blood will do the show some good. Hasselbeck went as far as calling into her new (FOX something or other) show while on vacation to downplay Rosie’s return citing her points: she (Rosie) spits in the face of our military, spits in the face of her own network, she’s loud, she’s opinionated etc. Quiet as kept, Elisabeth you are loud, opinionated, and downright rude!

Elisabeth has ruffled a few feathers amongst her former “View” cast members and they have spoken out about it. Joy Behar said “I thought that was below the belt to say that she spits in the face of the military. I would like Elisabeth to explain herself really what did she mean by that? Joy went on to say, Rosie is a great person.” Joy later said, “Spitting in the face of the military is rude to say and hate filled remark and she (Elisabeth) should explain it.”

Now, cue the current seat holders at “The View’s” roundtable discussion and the moderator, Whoopi Goldberg had this to say about the situation: “There’s a lot of speculation about who is coming in and we don’t know who is coming in. But I will tell you this, the respect I have for the people that work will not change. I will do my best to respect the audience; we will bring you The View that Barbara Walters wanted you to have.” Cue the applause!  Dag on right Whoopi

Personally, I think it would be great to have Whoopi and Rosie sitting at the table together. Here’s the equation in my head: two comedians + two women + two HUGE personalities & entertainment veterans = HILARIOUS TV in the morning!  You tell me what you think and let’s all take some time to enjoy “The View” while we wait for Feb 2, 2015.
