Shady……Shady……Shady…… Phae!!

What’s goes on in the dark always comes to light!

The law is finally catching up to “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, Phaedra Parks. Phaedra has been ordered by a Georgia court that she must be deposed by Angela Stanton’s attorneys in the next 45 days. Court ORDERED!

After months of dodging requests from Angela Stanton’s legal counsel to give information in a defamation lawsuit Parks brought against Angela Stanton. You would think if Parks is suing Angela for the claims she made against her, she would want to prove she had no involvement in the  check and auto theft  fraud she’s being accused of.

Angela Stanton, author of the book, “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell The Truth and Shame The Devil,” candidly exposed the scams Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida were doing years ago involving check and auto theft  fraud. Angela and Apollo took the fall for those crimes and served time in prison while Phaedra got off scott-free. Phaedra Parks adamantly denied those claims and in 2012 filed a defamation lawsuit against her former friend.

On June 19, the court issued a “Motion to Compel” to Phaedra Parks. She can no longer drag this case out wasting the court and the defendant’s time. If Phaedra continues to refuse to be deposed, the judge will rule her lawsuit has no merit and Angela Stanton’s counterclaims for damages will be awarded.

On the same day the “Motion to Compel” was ordered, Ms. Stanton’s attorney, James Radford, fired off a letter to Phaedra Parks, notifying her (again) that her defamation lawsuit against Angela Stanton, was “wholly without merit.” Which essentially means, Phaedra’s lawsuit against Stanton was weak, frivolous and lacked merit. The letter also states, Angela’s attorneys believe, Phaedra filed the lawsuit with malicious intent to hinder the sales of her book, Lies of a Real Housewife, causing her: 1) Significant loss of income of her her book, 2) High legal fees and 3) Emotional distress.

Why avoid being deposed in a case you brought against someone, if you have nothing to hide? Seems odd a court order would have to be issued to get Phaedra to give information to disapprove Angela’s claims.
