Former “Jersey Shore” star, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was charged with simple assault after a nasty fight in a tanning salon he co-owns with his brother.
Splash News showed a smiling Sorrentino walking out of the Middletown, New Jersey, police station after posting a $500 bond Tuesday afternoon. His right eye appeared bruised and scratches were visible on his neck.
The Situation told the photographer that the fight happened because his brother “was not running the store correctly, so I had to go in there and clean house, in more ways than one.”
Sorrentino, 31, was the only person charged in the fight, according to Police Lt. Stephen Dollinger.
Mike has a new reality show debuting next month, perhaps this fight may be for publicity?
The Situation’s new reality show “The Sorrentinos,” premiers July 15th. This time around, blood really is thicker than water because he’s rolling with some familiar co-stars – his mom Linda, his two older brothers Frank and Marc, and his sister Melissa.
His new show — dripping in red sauce and tanning lotion is described as a family affair than the fist-pumping drunkenness we saw on “Jersey Shore.”
“The Sorrentinos” will debut on TV Guide Network. Check your local listings for show times.
